How these fit together
A chart is read in layers, and the tools above correspond to them. The divisional charts tell you what is promised in each department of life — the Navāṁśa for marriage and dharma, the Daśāṁśa for career, the Saptāṁśa for children, the Ṣaṣṭyāṁśa for the karma underneath all of them.
The strength measures tell you whether those promises can be delivered — and they answer two different questions that are constantly confused. Vimśopaka Bala says how kindly a graha is disposed toward you; Ṣaḍbala says which graha wins when two of them promise the same thing. A planet can be forceful and unkind, or gentle and well disposed.
The daśās tell you when. Vimśottarī names which significator is active; the rāśi daśās name which sign has become your Lagna, and therefore what the whole chart now means relative to it. Nārāyaṇa shows where effort goes and Sudāśā where the fruit lands — which are very often not the same period.
The Jaimini points tell you who and how you are seen. The Ātmakāraka is the soul’s own agenda; the Ārūḍha Lagna is the image the world holds of you. The gap between them is frequently the most interesting thing in a chart.

Are these Vedic astrology calculators free?
Yes. Every calculator in this section is free and needs no account. Enter your date, time and place of birth once and each tool reads the same chart.
Which ayanamsa do the calculators use?
Lahiri (Citrapakṣa). Tropical longitudes from the ephemeris are corrected to the sidereal zodiac before any division, daśā or strength is computed, so every tool here rests on the same frame.
Do I need my exact birth time?
The finer the division, the more it matters. The Rāśi chart tolerates a rough time; the Navāṁśa Lagna changes about every thirteen minutes and the Ṣaṣṭyāṁśa Lagna about every two. Each calculator says how sensitive it is.
Are my birth details stored?
They are used to compute the result and kept in your browser session. Nothing is attached to a profile unless you choose to sign in and save a chart.
