Your chart carries a description of the person you are meant to marry — held in three indicators: the D9 Navāṁśa 7th house, the Upapada Lagna, and the Darakaraka. This tool takes those indicators and tests them against a real candidate: does your spouse-description fit them, and does their spouse-description fit you? What is the Darakaraka?
In the Jaimini chara karaka scheme, the Darakaraka (DK) is the planet with the lowest ecliptic degree in your chart. It is the significator of the actual spouse — the specific person you marry, as distinct from Venus, which is the general significator of marriage. Its sign, placement and the planets with it describe the partner's nature and background.
Can astrology really identify the person I will marry?
It describes them, rather than names them. The D9 7th house, the Upapada Lagna and the Darakaraka together sketch the spouse's character, appearance, background and the shape of the marriage. When a real candidate's own chart matches those descriptions — and their marriage indicators point back at you — it is a strong sign the two charts are destined to meet.
Why is the check done in both directions?
A one-sided read is weak. This tool checks whether your spouse indicators describe them, and separately whether their spouse indicators describe you. A genuine destined match tends to show up from both sides — your D9 7th and Darakaraka fit them, and theirs fit you. Agreement in both directions is what gives the verdict weight.
Does the birth time need to be exact?
Spouse analysis is Lagna- and Navāṁśa-based, so the birth time matters — the Navāṁśa Lagna changes roughly every 13 minutes, and the Upapada depends on the 12th house. A time accurate within a few minutes gives a reliable read; a rough time weakens the D9 and UL layers, though the Darakaraka (degree-based) stays stable.
