Philosophy

Karma, dharma, consciousness, and the purpose of Jyotiṣa — why the chart is a map of the soul, not a fate machine.

Jyotiṣa is not primarily a prediction tool — it is a framework for understanding one's place in the flow of karma. PVNR draws directly from the Upanishads and the Bhagavad Gītā to frame the birth chart as a map of the soul's current journey, with the karmas it chose to work through in this birth. These lessons address why certain karmas unfold when they do, how free will operates within a life's structure, what the concept of "sanchita" (accumulated) versus "prarabdha" (activated) karma means in practice, and what astrology can and cannot tell you. They are not philosophical decoration. They change how you read every placement, because they shift your frame from mechanical prediction to understanding cause and purpose. A planet in the 6th house is not a punishment — it is an area the soul agreed to strengthen through challenge.

Philosophy, Parampara & Purpose of Jyotiṣa

The deeper "why" of Vedic astrology: microcosm-macrocosm philosophy, every planet as an aspect of the divine within. The parampara (teaching lineage) from Achyutananda through Sanjay Rath to PVNR. Jupiter and Venus as cosmic teachers (Brihaspati and Shukracharya) — and what this means for how students approach the subject.

  2. 02

Planetary Significations — Derived from Puranic Mythology

How every planetary signification can be logically derived from Puranic mythology — Sun as Rama (soul/dharma), Moon as mind and mother, Mars as son of Earth, Mercury as the clever student, Jupiter and Venus as teachers of gods and demons, Saturn as Shani the hermit. Why this derivation framework makes Vedic astrology internally consistent, not a memorization exercise.

  3. 03

Mantra Shastra — Science of Sound and Devata

The science of mantras from first principles: how sound (Shabda) and thought (Manas) must unite for a mantra to work. Analysis of Namah Shivaya — its five syllables mapping to the five elements. How to prescribe mantras from a horoscope: taking the strongest house as source, a weaker house as destination, and finding the Devata for that axis. Warning against Lal Kitab tamasic remedies.

  4. 04

Mantra Shastra — How Mantras Work

The science of mantras: Aksharas, Sandhi, the Source–Destination–Devata Sthana formula, Mantra Siddhi (chanting counts), and cross-religion universality. Includes analysis of Namo Ramaya, Brihaspati Gayatri, Maha Mrityunjaya, Panchadashi, and how to prescribe mantras from a horoscope.

  5. 05

Arudha Padas — Satya vs Maya

The fifth pillar of chart analysis: Arudha Padas. The house = hidden truth (Satya); the lord = the mirror; the Arudha = the image in the mirror (Maya). Why Arudha cannot fall on the Satya axis. Three levels of any house. Applied to PVNR's D10, Aishwarya Rai's Rasi (3H/6H from AL), and Swami Vivekananda's Rasi.

  6. 06

    The Three-Level Framework

Lagna (inner truth), Arudha Lagna (perceived reality), and Arudha Pada (tangible manifestation) — the most important conceptual distinction in Parāśarī Jyotiṣa. Includes Trikona groupings and Rashi vs Varga chart roles.

  7. 07

    Vargottama, Gandanta & House Philosophy

Vargottama — when a planet occupies the same sign in D1 and D9, its energy is doubled and pure. Gandanta — the treacherous junction between water and fire signs. The 4th house (mind/healing) vs 5th (purva punya) vs 9th (destiny) — a critical philosophical distinction that changes how yogas are read.

  8. 08

Ishta Devata & the Path to Moksha

How to find your Ishta Devata (personal deity) from the AK in Navamsa and the 12th lord from the Karakamsha. Ramana Maharshi's chart — Ketu AK and spontaneous self-realization. The role of mantra: sound and thought unified. PVNR's own chart analysed for Ishta Devata.

  9. 09

Charakarakas — The Three Classes of Karakas

Three types of karakas: Naisargika (Brahma — what things ARE), Chara (Vishnu — soul's sustenance), and Sthira (Shiva — timing of endings). The 8 Charakarakas ranked by planetary longitude. Why Ketu is excluded: he wants all souls to merge back into Paramatma.

  10. 10

Satya and Maya in Jyotish — Philosophical Foundation & Remedial Principles

PVNR's philosophical foundation for Jyotish: Satya (ultimate reality) and Maya (illusion) are the two layers the chart operates in. The chart shows Maya — the experienced reality, not the ultimate truth. Remedial measures: the philosophy behind prescribing remedies — gems work at the physical level (slow, long-term), mantras at the subtle level, yagnas and pujas at the causal level. Match the remedy level to the urgency and the person's stage of consciousness. Never prescribe tamasic remedies.

  11. 11

Key Principles — Sign vs Lord, Venus-Rahu Pull & Parivartana Rules

Sign vs Lord philosophy: signs are inanimate circumstances; lords are the consciousness that navigates them. You see the lord for attitude and choices, the sign for the circumstances you face. Venus-Rahu relationship: Rahu amplifies Venus's materialistic pull — person becomes obsessed with material desires when Rahu aspects/conjuncts Venus. Parivartana (exchange) Raj Yoga vs Duryoga rules (expanded) — when a parivartana gives Raj Yoga vs when it creates a Duryoga. Exaltation of 6th lord: important clarification on when it helps vs hurts.

  12. 12

D24 Narayana Dasha for Occult Learning, Free Will & AL Philosophy

Narayana Dasha for divisional charts (introduction): only use the 1st Principle for divisional ND (sign's house from lagna — what area is activated). D24 Narayana Dasha for learning and evolution: D24 is not only the chart of learning a subject — it is the chart of maturation and evolution. The seed is the 12th house (giving up = evolving). Philosophical discussion on free will and remedies: if the remedy itself is not in your chart, it won't reach you. Future of astrology as a science: the challenge of consistent rules across charts.

  13. 13

John Kerry 2004 — SCD Analysis & Philosophical Digression: What is Lagna?

John Kerry's 2004 election analyzed through SCD: born 1943 → completed 60 years → running 61st year. SCD from D10 for career. All three chakras analyzed: why Kerry could not achieve the presidency despite strong D10 indicators — Moon (public reception) and Surya (soul alignment) chakras did not support it. Philosophical digression (tied to Kundalini/Tantra): Lagna = the point of individualization of Brahman, the first act of creation in each being. Moon = the fluidity of the ego. Sun = the soul observing.

  14. 14

    AV + Sudarshan Chakra Dasha — PVNR's D24 1987 Academic Success

PVNR's framework for combining Ashtakavarga with SC Dasha: use the AV score of the SC dasha house from each chakra reference point — this adds a quantitative layer. PVNR's own D24 chart for 1987 academic success (IIT Madras + Rice University): all three chakras in D24 agreeing on education success in 1987. D10-D24 cross-linking: Jupiter as teaching planet — when Jupiter activates both D10 (career) and D24 (learning) simultaneously, a major teaching or learning career event occurs. Sincerity, humility, and the 6 enemies of consciousness as prerequisites for good predictions.

  15. 15

Eclipse Charts for Prediction, Four Purusharthas Trikona & Bush 2005 Annual Chart

Eclipse charts: effects within 3 months; start of eclipse most important. 10th house = ruling party; 3rd house = opposition — whichever is afflicted loses. Solar eclipse 2005: Pakistan earthquake confirmed by 7L+8L+Ketu in 8H (Virgo = earth element). India flash floods: lunar eclipse with Moon in deep Gandanta (last degree water-fire border) + Rahu on lagna. Elections 2004: India eclipse chart = Moon afflicted in 10H → BJP lost; Washington DC eclipse = Sun debilitated+Ketu in 3H → Democrats lost. Four Purusharthas Trikona: Dharma(1-5-9), Artha(2-6-10), Kama(3-7-11, desire→pursue→fulfill), Moksha(4-8-12, comfort enables tapasya enables detachment). Bush 2005 D10: AL in Leo with Mars = warrior image; A9+A8 = fortune + suffering; Venus/Moon dashas = popularity nadir.

  16. 16

    Rahu-Ketu Deep Philosophy, 4-Level House Doctrine & Advisors in a Leader's Chart

Rahu = bhoga (material experience) — eclipses Moon (the mind) to intensify desire. Rahu loves Cancer, Leo, Virgo; most effective in Cancer where he can fully eclipse Moon. Ketu = moksha — eclipses Sun (the atma/self-identity) to dissolve the separate-self illusion. 4-Level House Doctrine: (1) House = inanimate situation; (2) House-lord = animate intelligence driving it; (3) Arudha of house = tangible inanimate object; (4) Arudha of house-lord = tangible animate person. For advisors: use Arudha of the house-lord, not the house. Political advisors = 2H from Moon/Mercury; military = 2H from Mars; legal = 2H from Jupiter; servants = 6H from Saturn; fellow politicians = 2H from Sun. Malefics in 12H from AL = Raj Yoga (appears to give up suffering = good image). Benefics in 12H from AL = loss of image. Trilochana Yoga = Sun+Moon+Mars in mutual trine = Shiva's three eyes; destroys all enemies.

  17. 17

Panchanga 5 Tattvas, Nakshatra Sutras & Special Nakshatras from Moon

Panchanga = 5 limbs of time, each mapping to an element: Tithi=Jala (prosperity, happiness), Vara=Agni (life force, vitality), Nakshatra=Vayu (kinetic energy — most important for remedies), Yoga=Akasha (binds all), Karana=Bhu (material manifestation). Creation order: Akasha→Vayu→Agni→Jala→Bhu — therefore Nakshatra (Vayu) is the priority for remediation. Nakshatra Sutras: Vedic mantras for each nakshatra deity (28 total including Abhijit); from Krittika through zodiac to Bharani. Even imperfect recitation carries power — no risk of bad results. Special Nakshatras from Moon: Janma Tara (Moon's own = general wellbeing), Karma Tara (10th from Moon = career), Abhisheka Tara (26th = power). How to activate yogas: find the nakshatra of the yoga's key planet, propitiate that deity.

  18. 18

Tribhagi Vimshottari Deep Philosophy — Nakshatra as Pranavayu & 3 Gunas

Core difference: Standard Vimshottari = how the mind experiences things (planet-centric); Tribhagi = what life force drives the mind, why the mind feels a certain way (nakshatra-centric). Nakshatra = a specific station of Pranavayu (vital life force) — as Moon progresses through nakshatras, the mind takes the energy of each station. Even Rahu nakshatras differ totally: Ardra (Rudra = fiery, dynamic), Swati (Vayu = airy), Shatabhisha (Varuna = watery) — different life force qualities despite same planet lord. Punarvasu (Aditi) = all good qualities naturally flourish; Shravana (Vishnu) = very auspicious; Ardra = powerful but unstable fire. The 3 nakshatras of each planet represent its sattvic, rajasic, and tamasic expressions. Don't reconcile conflicting dasha signals — understand what each system specifically shows. Three dasha systems together: Vimshottari (mental experiences) + Tribhagi (life force state) + Narayana (circumstances on the ground).

  19. 19

Lagna vs Moon Deep Teaching — Legislator vs Executive & Sarvatobhadra Chakra Intro

Lagna = executive: implements agenda, acts in the world, cannot contemplate — "a dumb servant." Moon = legislator: experiences the world through senses, processes impressions, forms the action agenda. To understand WHY someone acts: look at Moon. To understand HOW they act: look at Lagna. "Moon is the legislator who makes rules; Lagna is the executive who enforces them." Sarvatobhadra Chakra (SBC): nakshatra-based transit tool for looking at life force through planetary positions. Vedha = piercing/obstruction when a transiting planet contacts a natal nakshatra — can purify or obstruct. Latta = "kick" — unfavorable blow, especially bad on Janma Nakshatra. Planetary nakshatra aspects: every planet aspects 15th nakshatra from itself; Jupiter = 10, 15, 19; Saturn = 3, 5, 15, 19; Mars = 1, 3, 7, 8, 15; Sun/Moon = 14, 15. Retrograde planet: aspects go backward in direction.

  20. 20

Simhasana & Shashi Yoga, Kumari Vav Ritual & The Astrologer's Non-Doer Attitude

Simhasana Yoga = Saturn in Cancer with Cancer as 1st or 10th house; for Taurus/Libra (where Saturn is yogakaraka) gives elevated throne-like status in Saturn's period. Shashi Yoga (strong form): Moon+Saturn both strong = energy + insensitivity to pain; pushes through obstacles — different from the depressed weak Moon-Saturn. Moon+Saturn in Jupiter sign (Sag/Pis) = sattvic Kali worship — Tara, Karanakali (Ramakrishna's form) — the Kali who helps cross the ocean of life. Kumari Vav: when 1st UL is very weak, native first "marries" a tree ceremonially to exhaust that weak karma; actual marriage then corresponds to stronger 2nd UL. PVNR on astrologer's attitude: if you think "my knowledge did this," it creates karma. If you think you are merely an instrument of your Ishta Devata — acting without ego — no karma accumulates. "Leave the reading to God. One word spoken casually may change someone's life."

  21. 21

Ishta/Palana/Dharma Devata Calculation, Complete Planet-Deity Table, Vastu Directions & Jyeshtha-Moola Gandanta

Three personal deities: Ishta Devata (Moksha deity) = 12th from AK in Navamsha → lord; Palana Devata (sustenance/livelihood) = 6th from Amatyakaraka (AmK) in Rashi; Dharma Devata = occupant/lord of 9th from AK in Navamsha. Context modifiers: planet's sign and conjunctions refine the deity form. Saturn = Vishnu generally; Saturn + Sun = Rama or Venkateswara; Saturn in Scorpio + Rahu = Kali/Chamundi; Saturn in Mercury sign = Vishnu (Narayana). Rahu = Durga (female) or Balaji (male); Ketu = Ganesha; Ketu in Leo lagna = Rajaganapati. Ketu in lagna generally = eccentricity, impulsiveness, spiritual bent, "jumps without thinking." Complete planet-deity table: Sun=Shiva; Moon=Devi/Parvati; Mars=Kartikeya/Hanuman; Mercury=Vishnu; Jupiter=Sadashiva/Dattatreya; Venus=Lakshmi; Saturn=Vishnu; Rahu=Durga/Balaji; Ketu=Ganesha. Vastu directions: Center=Sun; East=Venus; SE=Moon; South=Mars; SW=Rahu; West=Saturn; NW=Ketu; NE=Jupiter+Mercury. Jyeshtha-Moola Gandanta = most dangerous of all gandantas — Scorpio/Jyeshtha (Indra) → Sagittarius/Moola (Niritti, dissolution goddess) = heavenly authority dissolving into chaos; babies born at this cusp need strong remedial action.

  22. 22

Marriage Timing via Dasha (AK Dasha = Vairagya), Annual 2006 Most Promising & Three Vedantic Paths

Vimshottari for marriage: Moon MD (1992-2002) = 8H lord + Saturn-Moon vairagya = dispassion peak, no marriage. Mars MD (2002-09) = Atmakaraka dasha: materially difficult (soul strips layers), but AK = 5H lord with 7H lord Mercury = emotional awakening, change of mind. AK dasha rule: spiritual = best period; non-spiritual = material frustration until higher realization. Best AD for marriage: Mercury AD (7L, Argala on 7H in Navamsha). Annual TP 2006 = most promising: Mercury = Hora lord (year-CEO, owns 7H); Sun-Moon parivartana (6L-7L = friends exchanging); Gajakesari Yoga active; lagna lord in 7H; UL lord Jupiter in 11th from UL. Windows: August–September 2006 or October–November 2006. Remedies: 48 consecutive Saturday fasts (DK Saturn) + pray to Krishna (Saturn+Moon); Tirupati pilgrimage on birthday (July 18) → Srinivas Mangapuram (site of Srinivasa-Padmavati marriage = pray for marriage specifically). Sattvic prayer is always safe: "You are requesting the planet to behave nicely — benefics strengthen, malefics calm." Three Vedantic paths: Dvaita (Kali Yuga starting point = get close to one God); Vishishta Advaita (merge with Ishta Devata); Advaita (complete non-duality). "Get close to one God first — then merge — then transcend all gunas."

    Katapayadi System — Name-to-Sign Activation, Jaimini's Arudha Exceptions Decoded & 4 Yugas

Katapayadi Divarga: Jaimini encrypted his sutras using Sanskrit syllable encoding so they could not be misused in Kali Yuga. Algorithm: (1) Take consonants of the name you are commonly called; (2) find each syllable's value (ka=1, kha=2… ya=1, ra=2, la=3, va=4, ṥa=5, ṣa=6, sa=7, ha=8); (3) concatenate digits and reverse them; (4) divide by 12 for sign (Aries=1…Pisces=0) and by 9 for planet (Sun=1…Ketu=0). Example: Manoj → ma(5)+na(0)=50 → reversed=05 → 5÷12 R5 = Leo. Arudha exceptions encoded in two stanzas: "swaste daraha" → remainder=4 → if lord is in 4th from house, the 4th itself is the Arudha; "sutaste janma" → remainder=7+10 → if lord is in 7th from house, the 10th becomes Arudha. The 4 Yugas and the Kalapurusha quadrants: Satya Yuga=Aries (Sun exalted, pure tapasya); Treta Yuga=Cancer (Jupiter exalted, dharma); Dwapara Yuga=Libra (Saturn exalted, yoga practice); Kali Yuga=Capricorn (Mars exalted, Jupiter debilitated = technology peak but wisdom lowest). Jaimini was Parasara's student — the Upadesa Sutras are an elaboration/commentary, not a separate system.

Swamsa (Navamsha Lagna) Planet Effects, Navamsha as Past-Life Blessing & Navamsha Rectification

Swamsa = Navamsha Lagna (or Karakamsha when AK in Navamsha is intended). Analysis order: planet in Swamsa → trines to Swamsa (5th=creative expression, 9th=past-life fortune) → aspects → lagna lord → Kartari. Planet effects in Swamsa: Sun = government/social service; Moon+Venus = all luxuries + educationist; Mars = metallurgy/weapons/fire; Mercury = business/trade/law; Jupiter = great intelligence, karma yogi, philosopher; Venus = government official, passionate, ojas shakti; Saturn = success through hard work in any field, patience; Rahu = boundary-breaking, poisons/chemicals, import-oriented, thief type OR experimental researcher; Ketu = export of knowledge, mathematician, past-life master. Rahu=import (outside coming in); Ketu=export (inside going out). Navamsha = past-life blessing: "you are good at something because you practiced it many lives; dharma is the only thing that carries across lives." Navamsha shows natural ABILITIES; D10 shows actual career vocation — a singer working as software engineer. Navamsha rectification: match planet qualities to person's known character (Mars=hot-headed; Saturn=disciplined; Mercury=business-minded) — fastest validation method. Skin disease case: Mercury afflicted by Rahu in both Rashi and Navamsha + Badaka lord in Gemini Navamsha = confirmed Mercury-Rahu skin peeling pattern.

BPHS Ch.86 Amavasya Birth Shanti, Karma Transfer via Dakshina & Priest Spiritual Caliber

BPHS Chapter 86: Amavasya birth dosha primarily causes parents to suffer poverty and hardship ("mata pitro daridhrata"). Shanti procedure: (1) Kalasha in southeast (Agneya) corner with leaves of five sacred trees + pancharatna (5 gems) + two cloths (yellow on top, red on bottom); (2) sanctify water with three Vedic mantras (Sarvesha mudra, Apohishta, Varuna mantra); (3) install gold/silver/copper idols of Sun AND Moon (Amavasya = Sun-Moon angle = zero); invoke with Apyayasva + Savitr mantra; 16 services; (4) Homa with darbha grass + wheat kheer (Sun) + rice kheer (Moon), mantras 108 times each; (5) Abhishekam — parents hold baby while priest pours charged water; (6) Dakshina = black cow + gold + silver; feed brahmanas. Timing: ideally 21st day after birth; valid at any age. Karma transfer teaching: dakshina given to priest physically transfers some of the baby's karma to the priest — a spiritually advanced priest can burn it through sadhana; a commercial greedy priest takes the karma but cannot burn it = ineffective puja. Finding a good priest: "Does not run after money — considers money trivial." Red flag: "Only MY priest can do this" = business deal between priest and astrologer. Self-puja with devotion may be more effective than hiring a commercial priest. "Water absorbs energy from mantras — Vedic consciousness has known this for thousands of years."

  26. 26

Grahas as Consciousness (Why Not Outer Planets), TP Chart Dasha Boundary Rule & Sun in Hasta Worship

Graha = Sanskrit for "that which grasps" — a consciousness that captures human consciousness, not an astronomical body. "Mars dasha = the consciousness of Mars is catching hold of your consciousness and making you angry — at the sukshma sharira (subtle body) level, not through physical gravitation." Rahu and Ketu are abstract mathematical points (Moon's orbital-plane intersection) with zero mass yet real consciousness = Chayagrahas (shadow planets determining eclipses). Why outer planets (Uranus/Neptune/Pluto) are NOT used: Pluto's gravity = 1/1000 to 1/10,000 of Saturn; but more importantly, rishis could merge consciousness with any entity in the universe — they deliberately chose only up to Saturn because those outer-planet consciousnesses do NOT grip human consciousness. "Inventors of Pluto = transformation are creating, not discovering. Systems you create die with you. If you are a rishi, what you discover stays forever." TP dasha boundary rule: each TP chart is valid from its date until next year's TP date; when new TP arrives, old chart is void (like an expired check); a dasha crossing the TP boundary switches interpretation on the new TP date — use the new chart from that day forward. Sun in Hasta nakshatra (~Sep 20 – Oct 4 each year) = most auspicious annual period for Surya worship; read Surya Upanishad during this time; "all devatas are manifestations of Sun" in this text.

Daily Homam Practice — Bhutagni Concept, Small Fire Bond & Pronunciation vs Bhava in Mantra

Bhutagni = subtle digestive fire in the sukshma sharira (subtle body), analogous to Jatharagni (digestive fire for physical food). In Kali Yuga most people's bhutagni is weak — subtle vibrations from mantras cannot be absorbed, eventually causing physical problems. Daily homam directly strengthens and purifies the bhutagni. The fire size does not matter — "even a large deepam is sufficient; only increase for Purnahuti." What matters is the BOND formed between external fire and internal bhutagni — once established, every aahuti also purifies bhutagni simultaneously. Effect: all other sadhanas (japa, meditation) become 10×–1000× more effective. "If you do Gayatri 1000 times and nothing happens — your bhutagni may not be strong enough to digest that mantra." What to offer: Mahaganapati homam for beginners; supplement japa with 8-12 aahutis per session; formula = 10 japa malas → 1 mala in fire. Pronunciation vs bhava for mantras: both correct pronunciation AND correct mental image/visualization are ideal; "if you can only do one, choose the correct image (bhava)." Devotion + right thought produces results even with imperfect pronunciation; perfect pronunciation without bhava = mechanical and ineffective. BPHS Chapter 91 (Eclipse birth Shanti) to be covered in the next lesson.

Upanayana Dasha Validation (Rahu-Mercury), Annual D24 Mayank + Maya Philosophy (Yoga Vasishtham)

Dasha at Aug 26, 2007: Rahu Mahadasha, Mercury Antardasha. Ashtottari rule: Rahu gives Ketu's results when Ketu has no independent period. In Mayank's chart, Ketu = lord of A5 (Mantrapada) in 9th house (Dharma/upanayana) = natural indicator for mantra-giving. Mercury AD: in 5th house from Rahu (dasha lord) = Mantrasthana; bhoga of Mercury from Lagna also falls in 5th = both references confirm mantra-giving result. "We were guided to this time without knowing the dasha — that is what happens when you use panchanga principles correctly." Annual D24 (2006–07) for Mayank: year-ruler Jupiter exalted with exalted Venus in 4th house (primary learning house, "controlling house in D24"); AL + A7 both in 4th = seen as smart learner, moving with smart people. Strength: Chandra-Mangala Yoga in 5th + 5th lord strong in 1st; Mercury in own sign in 7th = good interactions. Weakness: Sun (9th lord, teachers) with Rahu+Ketu in 6th = teachers can become enemies; 9th lord eclipsed in dusthana; some authority figure at school gives trouble; A4 (tangible school) in 1st = school change likely; dusthana lords give Argala on A4 = change of school location. Philosophy on Maya (lesson opening): uniformity in Maya does not prove reality — like a movie where everyone sees the same scene but no one is really dying. "Do not completely dismiss this world as Maya — live within duality, realize the absolute is non-dual." Book: Yoga Vasishtham (Vashishtha Yoga, Swami Venkateshananda trans.) = most brilliant Advaita text.

  29. 29

Rashi Tulya Navamsa & Navamsa Tulya Rashi — Cross-Chart Transposition Framework & Master Chart Concept

Rashi and Navamsa are NOT two different zodiacs — they share the same physical zodiac; Rashi = physical/material existence; Navamsa = dharmic self/marital/spiritual environment; all varga planets occupy actual physical signs at an abstract level. Rashi Tulya Navamsa: take Rashi Lagna sign and find planets in/around it IN the Navamsha chart = "how does the dharmic environment impact the physical self?" Example (May 26, 1988, Secunderabad, Gemini Rashi Lagna): Saturn+Mars in Gemini in Navamsa = "dharmic activities cause physical suffering; person fasts excessively, sits in sadhana 20 hours, physically abuses body through spiritual practice." Navamsa Tulya Rashi: take Navamsa Lagna sign and analyze it IN the Rashi chart = "what physical activities result from the person's dharmic sense?" Example continued: Navamsa Lagna Scorpio in Rashi → 8th house = Mercury+Venus (Raj Yoga + serious tapasya); 10th house = Ketu (physical karma = detachment, actions pointing to moksha). Extension: ANY planet (not just Lagna) can be transposed between charts — Navamsa Mars in Sagittarius → Saturn in Rashi Sagittarius = "dharmic energy causes physical hard labor/suffering"; Rashi Mars in Aquarius in Navamsa → 10th from Mars has Jupiter/Venus/Ketu in Scorpio = physical energy used for Vedic teaching. Master chart model: 16 vargas × 9 planets + lagnas = 160 reference points, all sharing one physical zodiac. "Rashi and Navamsa are not two charts — they are two aspects of the same chart."

BPHS Ch.94 — Jyeshtha Gandanta Shanti (Indra Idol), Graduated Cow Donations & Karma Transfer Philosophy

Jyeshtha Gandanta = danger to father AND to native (vs Mula Gandanta = danger to father only). BPHS Ch.94 procedure: same as Mula Shanti with differences — main devata = Indra (not Nirriti); adi-devata = Agni (not Jala); pratya-devata = Rakshasa. Indra idol: gold, holding vajra + ankusha, seated on Airavata (white elephant), base on pile of white rice. Mantras: Indra Suktam + Mrityunjaya. Minimum remedy: Mrityunjaya mantra 11-21 times daily = "a great remedy on its own." Graduated cow donations: Jyeshtha-Mula AND Ashlesha-Magha Gandantas = 3 cows each (most severe); Revati-Ashwini = 2 cows; other inauspicious combinations = 1 cow. Donation must "pinch" the giver — scale to wealth; poor brahmin: even a picture of a cow with genuine intention may work. Special nakshatras affecting spouse's family: woman born in Jyeshtha last pada = danger to elder brother-in-law (godanam at marriage); woman born in Vishakha 4th pada = danger to younger brother-in-law (godanam at marriage); daughter in Ashlesha last 3 padas = danger to mother-in-law; son in Mula first 3 padas = danger to father-in-law. CRITICAL RULE: if the at-risk person does NOT exist — no dosha. Karma transfer philosophy: homam/abhisheka burns some karma directly; remaining karma transfers to the recipient brahmin who should know and consent. True brahmin = pursuer of God and knowledge with caliber to withstand and burn others' karmas. Best option: burn karma through intensive sadhana or ego surrender to Ishtadevata.

BPHS Ch.1 (Restart) — Three Branches of Jyotisha, Maitreya-Parashara Dialogue & Student Qualifications

BPHS begins with Maitreya approaching Parashara with three questions: (1) How was creation born and how does it end? (2) What is the link between heavenly bodies and earthly beings? (3) Tell me about Jyotisha, the eye of the Vedas. Parashara's salutation before teaching: prayers to Brahma + Saraswati + Surya (Sun = cause for birth of all creation). Three branches of Jyotisha: Hora = planetary positions → forecasting (what these lessons cover); Ganitam = astronomical calculations; Samhita = mundane astrology, muhurtas, annual predictions for countries, panchanga predictions. "Of the three, Hora is the best and most important." Qualifications to receive this knowledge: Santa (peaceful and composed) + Guru-bhakta (devoted to teacher) + Sarvadam satya-vadine (always speaks truth) + Astika (believes in God). Do NOT teach: those who are stubborn, arrogant non-believers. "If you give this knowledge to an unworthy student, you will get unhappiness every single day because of it — that is how big the karma involved in this teaching is." This section establishes that Jyotisha is a sacred transmission — not information to be mass-distributed, but to be passed carefully to those with the right qualities.

BPHS Ch.1 — Vyuha Cosmology (Vasudeva/Sankarshana/Pradyumna/Aniruddha), Paramatma in Jivas & A9 in Lagna

Vyuha cosmology (Parashara's account): Parama Purusha (both vyakta+avyakta) → three shaktis: Sri Shakti (sattva/Mahalakshmi), Bhu Shakti (rajas), Nila Shakti (tamas). Four cosmic Vyuha beings: Vasudeva (Sri Shakti/sattva-dominant), Sankarshana (tamas), Pradyumna (rajas), Aniruddha (sattva). Each contains all three gunas but is dominated by one. Chain of manifestation: from Sankarshana (tamas) = Mahan (Great One) born; from Pradyumna (rajas) = Ahankara (I-sense) born (rajas creates differentiation — all deities and distinctions arise from rajas); from Aniruddha (sattva) = Brahma (cosmic creative intellect) born. Three functions: Vishnu+Sri Shakti=sustains; Brahma+Bhu Shakti=creates; Shiva+Nila Shakti=destroys. Philosophical core: "Sarvesu ceva jivesu paramatma virajate — In all jivas, the Paramatma shines." Paramatma amsa vs Jiva amsa: in grahas and devatas, Paramatma amsa is dominant (less ahankara); in ordinary beings, Jiva amsa is dominant — the difference is in ahankara level, not ontological nature. "The goal is to increase the Paramatma within you through practice." Note: different Puranas give different creation accounts (Devi Rahasyam: Mahalakshmi first) — all are valid different perspectives on the inexpressible. Q&A: A9 in lagna = fortune (9th house) manifesting directly at the core of the person; very lucky; fortune in Kendra = excellent placement; affects who the person fundamentally is.

BPHS Ch.9 Balarishta Verses 31–45 (Complete) — Father/Mother Combinations, Final Summary Verse & Karma Philosophy

Verses 31–45 completing Ch.9: (31) Jupiter in lagna + Saturn in 2nd + Rahu in 3rd = danger to mother (very rare ~1/16,000); (32) Malefics in trines from waning Moon + no benefics = mother gives up child within 6 months; (33) Mars+Saturn in same amsa OR mutual quadrants from Moon in D9/D12 = two mothers + weak longevity; (34) Saturn lagna + Mars 7th + Moon 6th = father dies; (35) Jupiter in lagna + Sun/Saturn/Mars/Mercury in 2nd = father dies at native's marriage ("marriage is dangerous for father"); (36) Sun afflicted by conjunction/Papakartari + malefic in 7th from Sun = trouble for father (VERY COMMON — predict trouble, not death; father may be absent/enemy, not dead); (37) Sun in 7th + Mars in 10th + Rahu in 12th = father lives with great difficulty; (38) Mars in 10th in inimical sign = father dies quickly (~1/36 probability; apply with judgment); (39) Moon in 6th + Saturn in lagna + Mars in 7th = father dies; (40) Sun in Aries/Scorpio navamsha aspected by Saturn in that amsa = father already separated before birth; (41) Malefics in 4th+10th+12th = danger to both parents, wandering from country to country; (42) Jupiter+Rahu both in inimical signs in 1st or 4th = 23rd year dangerous for father; (43-44) From Sun: 6th/8th/4th afflicted = father problem; from Moon: same = mother problem. Final summary verse: "Bala-bala vivekena kashtam va mrtyumari shahe" — by wise reckoning of strength and weakness, either troubles or death should be indicated. "If malefic is very strong and afflicted planet very weak → predict death. If malefic weak or afflicted planet strong → predict trouble only." Opening: karma only dissolves when kartrtva (sense of doership) is fully surrendered to devata — even good deeds accumulate karma as long as you think you are doing them.

BPHS Ch.11 — Houses 8–12, 8th House as Inter-Life Karmic Link, Father in 10th Puzzle & Avastha for House Results

BPHS Ch.11 continues. 8th house: longevity, hidden/protected places, inherited wealth from dead, "Gacchanukam" = past karmas AND future karmas. Deep insight: "Gati = where the person has been (past); anu = what will follow (future) — the 8th house is the connection between past and future lives, the inter-life karmic link." 9th house: fortune, dharma, brother's wife (7th from 3rd = 9th), pilgrimage, wife's siblings (3rd from 7th = 9th). 10th house: career/profession, kingdom/social position, space in the world, honor/respect, travel to far places, FATHER ("Pituh"). Surprise #3: Parashara mentions father under 10th house! PVNR: "Let us just observe this for now. Continue using 9th house for father — we will reconcile with later chapters. This is not everything Parashara will say about father." 11th house: gains/income, animals/livestock. 12th house: expenditure, enemies' activities and news. Planetary avastha applied to house lords: house gives good results when lord is in Yuva OR Pravruddha (mature) avastha, AND lord is in 10th from its own house. House gives bad results when lord is in Vruddha/Mruta avastha + afflicted by dusthana lords + does NOT aspect its own house = "results of that house are lost." Key surprises summary: 2nd=wealth-enemies; 5th=losing position; 7th=vision loss+death of self; 10th=father; 8th=inter-life karmic connection. "Every time we read Parashara carefully, we find something we didn't know."

Kali Sadhaka Chart (Hyderabad 1973) — Pravrajya Yoga, Ketu in Lagna, 6 Planets in Moksha Houses & Saturn in D20 Lagna

Male chart (Feb 2, 1973, Hyderabad area). Background: intense Tantric Kali worship path. D1: Ketu in lagna = moksha orientation, ego-dissolution tendency. Multiple planets (5+) in 8th house = extraordinary concentration in occult/transformation. 6 planets in moksha trikonas (4H/8H/12H) = strong renunciate pull; Pravrajya Yoga formed. "When the majority of planets are in moksha houses, the person's dharma is clearly spiritual, not worldly accumulation." D9 (Navamsha): Ketu in trine = spiritual insight, moksha connection; Sun (9th lord) in 7H aspecting lagna = dharma visible to the world. D20 (Vimshamsa): Saturn in D20 lagna = ascetic spiritual practice — disciplined, rigorous, not emotional-devotional. Fits Tantric path (requires austerity). Jupiter in D20 = Vedic/devotional/philosophical; Saturn = Shiva/Kali worship, Tantric paths, austere sadhana. Moon in 8H significance: for worldly person = anxiety and hidden troubles; for sadhaka = direct access to deeper consciousness, penetration into the occult, tremendous asset. Narayani teaching: Durga Saptashati (700 verses of Devi Mahatmyam) narrates the cosmic feminine dissolving ego-constructs. Ketu in lagna = inclined toward ego-dissolution; Kali sadhana consciously enacts what Ketu already drives.

Spirituality vs Religion — House Significations (9H=Dharma, 8H=Sadhana, 12H=Moksha), Four Yoga Paths & Tapasya Yoga (Saturn+Venus+Ketu)

Spirit = Ātmā, Brahman pervading all. Spiritual person = one who seeks the true self. Peak = complete identification with Brahman (Ramana Maharshi level). Religion = rules designed by advanced persons to help others progress gradually; when followed without understanding intent, becomes hollow. Most people move toward spirituality through sustained religious practice over many births. House correspondences: 9th house = religion, dharma, God's light, following rules/principles; 8th house = sadhana — the actual effort of spiritual practice (Moksha Trikona); 12th house = moksha — liberation, ego dissolution. D20 (Vimshamsa) = 8th-house based divisional = quality of one's sadhana. Four yoga paths by tattva: Jnana Yoga = fire (Sun, Mars, Ketu) = self-inquiry, removing false identities; Karma Yoga = earth (Mercury) = selfless service, seeing God in action; Bhakti Yoga = water (Moon, Venus) = devotion, melting into a beloved deity; Raja Yoga = air (Saturn, Rahu) = pranayama, Kundalini, breath-based realization. Homam (fire worship) especially potent in Kali Yuga — fire cannot be corrupted, purifies everything entering it. Tapasya Yoga: Saturn + Venus + Ketu conjunction in lagna/trikona/8H/12H = intense disciplined spiritual pursuit. On Oct 30, 2007: three planets within 1/3 degree during Navratra = extremely potent sadhana window.

Jupiter Transit Murti, Transit from Arudha Lagna vs Moon, & Kundalini Philosophy — Shivering is NOT Kundalini (It's Prana Vayus Cleaning Nadis)

Transit analysis priority: (1) house from Moon (mental experience); (2) nakshatra/Tara from Moon; (3) house from lagna (secondary, needs accurate chart); (4) Murti (amenability to propitiation). Focus on slow planets: Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu, Ketu. Murti propitiation: Swarnamurti = easy to propitiate; Lohamurti = hell-bent, very difficult to propitiate; prayer hardest to work here. Transit from AL vs Moon: AL shows how the world perceives material status changes; Moon shows how you feel internally. Jupiter in 9th from AL = reality check on materialism; image shifts to wisdom/non-materialism. Saturn in 8th from AL = big material setback; can become pauper in material perception. Planets in kendra from AL = good for material image. "Someone may be internally happy (good Moon transit) but world thinks he went crazy (bad AL transit). Or vice versa — the president who hates his own job." Kundalini: the self-awareness/ego-consciousness; identical to Ishta Devata's Shakti that compressed Brahman into finite body. Kundalini awakening = first direct perception of being beyond the body; indescribable bliss. Shivering is NOT Kundalini — "if Kundalini is flowing, you will not shiver. That is utter nonsense." Shivering = prana vayus exploring and cleaning nadis; physical nerves triggered correspondingly. Any path (Bhakti/Jnana/Karma/Raja) can awaken Kundalini. Measure of progress: how much kama/krodha/lobha/moha have decreased.

  38. 38

Mantra Philosophy: Kabir's Story (Intensity > Source), Hanuman Chiranjivi (Physical Body Still Exists), One Mantra Deeply vs 100 Casually

Kabir story: great saint lying down, disturbed by Kabir's arrival, uttered "Ram Ram" in annoyance (not as formal upadesha). Kabir took it as his mantra and through intense practice achieved Hanuman darshan → Rama darshan → Brahman experience. Principle: "How a mantra comes to you is decided by Nature. What is in your control is how you make use of it." Key rules: (1) Mantra upadesha is overrated in Kali Yuga — Vyasa arranged all knowledge in books, already authorized; (2) One mantra deeply practiced >> 100 mantras casually; "dig 100 feet in one place, not 1 foot in 100 places"; (3) Intensity > quantity — minutes of sadhana is insufficient to clear even a single day's impurities; do hours daily; (4) Any mantra works — "if you like it, take it and do it intensely; right or wrong doesn't matter." Why Hanuman is special: Hanuman is a Chiranjivi — his physical body from Treta Yuga is NOT destroyed; it will exist till the end of this creation. Other gods cannot easily appear in gross physical form (need fire or ether); Hanuman can. "If you do intense sadhana, it is possible to see him with your physical eyes. Many saints in the last few hundred years actually saw him. Once you see any god even once, your life is made."

BPHS Ch.23 — 12th House (Vyaya Bhava): Moon as 12L (Luxuries), Good/Bad Gati (Naraka vs Moksha), Wandering vs Stable Foreign Settlement & Sinful Earnings

BPHS Ch.23 (Vyaya Bhava = Expenditure house). General principle: planets in 12H show the means/nature of expenditure; strong planet = large expenses; auspicious = auspicious spending. v1: Moon = 12L in 5/9/11 + exalted/own sign = luxurious living (beautiful houses, perfumes, fine clothes). 12L in kendra/trikona = happiness from spouse; 12L in 6H/8H or enemy navamsa = no spouse happiness, excessive unmanageable expenses. Gati (final destination of soul): Bad gati = Rahu in 12H + Sun/Mars/Saturn + 12L with malefic = Naraka (hell); also Saturn+Ketu in 12H without benefic + 12L with Mars. Good gati/moksha = natural benefic in 12H + 12L exalted + 12L with functional benefic. For moksha analysis: Navamsa from AK more important than Rashi from lagna. Wandering vs foreign settlement: wandering = 12L with functional malefic + 12H afflicted by malefic = moving country to country unstably; stable abroad = 12L in benefic sign + 12H with benefic = chosen movement to better home. Sinful earnings = Saturn/Rahu/Ketu + Mars in 12H without benefic; why: 12H = 11th from 2H (enables wealth growth) + 2nd from 11H (resources that generate gains) + argala on both 2H and 11H simultaneously; planets there show the MEANS of earning. LL in 12H + 12L in lagna + Venus = generous spending on dharma. Closing principle: any bhava as lagna — apply 12H analysis to that bhava's "12th" for that person's expenses.

Punya Chakra (Death Chart) Preview: 12th = Final Gati, 7th = Last Desire (Seed of Next Life) & Visible vs Invisible Half of Zodiac for Obvious vs Subtle Results

Punya Chakra (death chart; Marana Jyotish): cast for exact moment of death. In Janma Chakra, 12H has many meanings; in Punya Chakra, 12H has one meaning only = final gati (where soul goes). 7H of Punya Chakra = last desire/thought at moment of leaving body = seed for next life. Krishna in Bhagavad Gita: "the last thought when leaving the body decides your next gati." Yogas in 7H of Punya Chakra may appear in lagna of next Janma Chakra. For moksha in Janma Chakra: Rashi 12H from lagna = secondary; 12H from AK in Navamsa = primary. Visible vs invisible half of zodiac: visible half = from 7H to lagna (above horizon at birth); invisible half = from lagna to 7H (below horizon). Planets in visible half → obvious, clearly manifested results; planets in invisible half → subtle, hidden results. "It is actually good to have Raj Yogas in the visible half — they manifest clearly and obviously." Application: when taking any bhava as lagna for relatives, visible half for that bhava = from its 7H to that bhava. Dhatu karakas full table: Sun=bone, Moon=blood, Mercury=skin/plasma, Mars=nerve tissue, Jupiter=fat, Saturn=muscle, Venus=reproductive; Rahu/Ketu = depletion of all tissues. Mercury = karaka of nervous signal COMMUNICATION (not the tissue itself); afflicted Mercury = wrong signals, misfiring. Mrityubhaga = specific degree per planet per sign; planet there = death-like suffering in its dasha; check in Jagannatha Hora (Basics → Key Info → Mrityubhaga distances).

Shadripu Mapped to D20 (Vimshamsha) Houses 7–12 — PVNR's Original Framework: Kama/Krodha/Lobha/Moha/Madha/Matsarya & Papapurusha in Subtle Body

PVNR's original intuition (not from any classic): the 6 Shadripus map to Vimshamsha (D20) houses 7-12, the visible half of the zodiac. Papapurusha = "evil entity" existing in the sukshma sharira (subtle body), located in the stomach area; generates all six enemies; operates in the visible/manifest world. Mapping: 7H = Kama (lust/desire; 7H = house of desires); 8H = Krodha (anger; classical 8H = short-tempered nature); 9H = Lobha (greed = specifically inability to do dharma/charity; NOT just wanting money; "wanting everything for yourself"; weakness in 9H of D20); 10H = Moha (delusion/false pride from accomplishments; over-identifying with work and achievements); 11H = Madha (wantonness = blatant pursuit of desires at any cost without regard for others; NOT alcoholism as mistranslated; like elephant in musth = culmination of Kama to extreme); 12H = Matsarya (jealousy/envy; 12H = deprivation; feeling deprived and envious of what others have). The order Kama-Krodha-Lobha-Moha-Madha-Matsarya in the classics exactly matches houses 7-12. "This is coming from my mind, not from any classic. I am fully convinced it is perfect knowledge even though not granted by any rishi — for all you know, a rishi gave me that inspiration." Invisible half (1-6) = the Shadripus in potential; visible half (7-12) = where they manifest in the world.

Courtney (Haverhill 1969, Scorpio Lagna) — 8th+12th for Mystical Experience vs Just Sadhana, Cancer Dasha Guru Arrival (2008) & Libra Dasha Deep Realizations (2015-22)

Courtney chart (Mar 23, 1969, Haverhill MA; Scorpio lagna rectified 2 sec earlier). Strong mysticism indicators: LL Sun in 8H + Rahu in 8H + 8L Jupiter in 2H with Ketu; strong 2-8 axis; "strong interest in mysticism; lagna lord in 8H aspected by 8L and Rahu." Critical principle: "Those with strong 8H + 12H + Jupiter/Ketu influence are capable of actual mystical experiences. Other people are only capable of reading stotras and prayers. She can actually sit straight and truly meditate." Those without this in natal chart: only sadhana, fruits in a future life. Narayana Dasha analysis: Cancer dasha from March 2008: progressed lagna = Scorpio (5th from Cancer); LL Mars in Scorpio = lagna strong; 9L Venus exalted in 7H aspecting lagna; "Bhargesha in lagna and 9L aspecting lagna = perfect case for arrival of Guru." Spiritual life invigorated. Libra dasha from 2015: progressed lagna = Aquarius; 8L Mercury in lagna + 7L Sun with LL Rahu + 2L Jupiter in 8H = strong 2/8 axis activation = "death-like experiences" = mystical experiences likely 2015-2022. "I will be surprised if 2022 passes without some mysterious mystic experience for this lady." Ishta Devata: Sun+Rahu in 8H + Jupiter (8L) aspecting → Shiva/Dakshinamurti (Sun+Jupiter = Shiva as Param Guru form). Mantra: Om Namah Shivaya or Om Hrim Namah Shivaya. Dasha selection principle: no thumb rules; verify against known past events; use what explains history.

3rd House = Fall of Dharma (Hidden Meaning), 8th House = Tapas AND Theft, Parashara's Methodology: Sampling Result-Space to Expand Student Thinking

Hidden meanings of houses revealed in these verses. 3rd house = "fall of dharma" — Parashara explicitly hints when 3rd lord is in 12th: "the lord of the house of dharma's fall being in 12th = spends money on adharmic things." 3rd also = initiative, courage, short journeys, siblings, desires. 8th house dual meaning: "lowly servant and thief" vs "Karmayogi doing tapas in the Himalayas — both have 3L in 8H." 8H = hard work, deep effort, transformation AND easy money from others AND punishment for past karma. Context determines which manifests. "If you see 3L in 8H, don't say what did you steal? That is not nice. One possibility is energy focused on others' resources; another is a tapas-oriented person." Parashara's methodology (PVNR's key teaching): "Parashara only gives 2-3 results per placement. He tries to cover various areas of interpretation to expand your thinking — he samples the result-space. This is not meant to be coded in software to generate automatic predictions." Framework for deriving ANY result: (1) take the house lord's purpose; (2) put it in the target house — what is it told to do?; (3) check Argala relationships with key houses; (4) take each house as lagna and see what it creates; (5) check A placement. "If you really want to understand WHY, use these tools. You will never need to memorize results." House lords in their own 9th = fortify that house. Any house lord in 9th from its own house = fortune for that house.

  44. 44

    Contentment = 4th House from Any House (Wealth→5H, Children→8H, Career→1H) & 6th House = Shadripu Root (7H–12H = Branches: Kama/Krodha/Lobha/Moha/Madha/Matsarya)

Contentment principle (PVNR): "Contentment from any house's matter = seen from 4th house of that house." Examples: wealth (2H) contentment → 5H (4th from 2H); children (5H) contentment → 8H (4th from 5H); mother/comforts (4H) contentment → 7H (4th from 4H); career (10H) contentment → 1H (4th from 10H). "You can be wealthy but not content with wealth — look at the 5th house for contentment about wealth." 6L in 6H illustrates: wealthy but medium contentment = 4th from 2H (5H) is compromised. Shadripu framework: 6th house = root of all six inner enemies. 7th through 12th houses are the branches where Shadripu manifests specifically: 7H = Kama (desire); 8H = Krodha (anger); 9H = Lobha (greed); 10H = Moha (false pride/delusion); 11H = Madha (wantonness/pride); 12H = Matsarya (jealousy/envy). "6th house generates the raw Shadripu energy; the 7th through 12th houses are the specific manifestation channels." Connection to 6th lord analysis: 6L in each house triggers the Shadripu of that house. 6L in 4H (Argala on 12H = Matsarya branch; jealousy). 6L in 5H (selfish, enmity = Kama and Krodha branches). 6L in 3H (anger = Krodha). This framework unifies why Parashara gives seemingly unrelated results for each 6th lord placement.

BPHS Ch.25 — 10th Lord in Houses 10–12: Harsa+Sal Yoga = Master of All Work + Truthful (10H), Wealthy Family + Cheerful + Business Indicator (11H), Skillful but Anxious/Unconfident (12H) & Free Will vs Destiny: Natal = Pre-Birth Karma, Current Action = Completely Yours

10L in 10H: master of all work/skills (from 6H, 10L = "Harsa Yoga" = 6th lord in 6th = accumulator of skills; "master of all, not jack of all"); happy (from 4H, 10L = 7L in 1H = 4H fortified); bold (from 3H, 10L = "Sal Yoga" = 8th lord in 8th = straightforward boldness; "jumps in without thinking"); truthful and speaks for dharma (from 2H, 10L = 9L in 9H = "dharma in speech; speaks for dharma"); devoted to gurus (Argala on 2H sustaining dharma and devotion). 10L in 11H: wealthy family (from 2H, 10L = 9L in 10H = Kona lord in Kendra = excellent for family wealth); cheerful (Kendra lord aspecting trine = work links to emotional fulfillment = "always optimistic and happy"); virtuous/talented (Argala on lagna from 11H = "talents and skills form part of basic personality; shaped for important work"); truthful; good for business (10H+11H = final Artha+Kama link = "business indicator"). 10L in 12H: heavy work expenses (10L = honor; 12H = loss = "resources for maintaining honor go to expenses — taxes, fines, spending on career building"); always dealing with enemies (from 6H, 10L = in 7H = "in conversation/confrontation with enemies constantly"); skillful but anxious (from 5H, 10L = 6L in 8H = Viparita Raj Yoga = "skills exist but no confidence behind them; 6H of growing skills in 8H of termination = skills acquired but not confidently owned"). Free Will vs Destiny: "Horoscope = crystallized pre-birth karma. Free will = current actions — NOT shown in natal chart. Most people respond to circumstances predictably, letting karma decide direction. True free will = pausing to see all options and choosing differently. Prasna includes post-birth karma; natal does not. Practical advice: do your best action, offer result to Krishna, do not dwell — dwelling on action generates more karma."

BPHS Ch.25 — 11th Lord in Houses 1–3: Sattvic + Wealthy + Equal Vision (1H), All Wealth + Philanthropic + Fighter for Dharma (2H), Master of Skills + Stomach Problems (3H) & Why 3rd/6th/11th Lords Are Binding (Functional Malefics)

Why 3/6/11 are functional malefics: "Liberating houses (Kendras + Trikonas) are about being — identity, happiness, dharma, fulfillment. Binding houses (3H/6H/11H = Upachaya) are about wanting, fighting, and getting: 3H = desire and initiative ('I want this'); 6H = fight for it ('I will overcome obstacles'); 11H = get it at any cost ('I got it and I want more'). These lords consume resources of any house they touch in pursuit of their agenda — not evil, but binding." 11L in 1H: sattvic (from 9H, 11L = 3L in 5H = friend of dharma; genuinely good person); wealthy (11L Argala on 2H; from 2H, 9L = 12L = Viparita-like = wealth circulates and comes back); always happy (from 4H, 11L = 8L in lagna = Viparita yoga for comfort; from 7H, 11L = 5L in 7H = good for partner relationships); equal vision/Samadrishti (from 5H, 11L = 7L in 9H = "interactions filled with dharma; treats high and low with same respect; doesn't grovel before kings or look down on servants"); eloquent/prominent (Argala on 3H from lagna; from 3H, 9L in lagna = fortune for communications). 11L in 2H: all types of wealth (11L in seat of wealth = massive wealth; from 2H-lagna, 11L = 10L in lagna = Kendra lord strong); all accomplishments (11H = fulfillment + 2H = all resources = "whatever he sets his mind to, he achieves"); philanthropic/gives generously (from 12H = Viparita Raj Yoga + person with so much gives freely; "fortune multiplies by giving"); fighter for dharma (from 9H, 11L = 3L in 6H from 9H = "doesn't just know dharma — fights to preserve it"). 11L in 3H: master of all skills (from 6H, 11L = 6L in Bhavat Bhavam of 6H = 6th from 6th = "skills that develop skills = mastery; extremely talented"); wealthy (11L Argala on 2H + from 2H = 9L in Bhavat Bhavam of 2H = "wealth that begets wealth"); happy with siblings (11L = elder siblings in 3H of younger siblings = "surrounded by siblings, harmonious"); stomach/digestive problems (11L in 3H has Maraka Argala on 5H; from 5H-lagna, 11L = 7L/Maraka in lagna = "Maraka in 5th house position; Leo = digestive region; reliable indicator of stomach issues").

Solar Eclipse July 22 2009 (India): Sun at Mrityubhaga + Both 8th Lords in Maraka Sthanas = Political Upheaval; Rahu-Ketu on Sun-Moon = Bad for Dharma, 1000× for Meditation; 3-Eclipse Sequence (Mahabharata/Dwarka) & Kali Yuga: No Apocalypse

July 22, 2009 solar eclipse chart (New Delhi; Cancer ~4° lagna): Sun = 2nd lord/Maraka in lagna at 5.5° Cancer = 0.14° from Mrityubhaga (Sun's death-inflicting degree in Cancer = 6°) = "nearly exact"; Sun + Ketu + Moon all within 2° in lagna; Saturn = 7th+8th lord/Maraka in 2H (Markasthana); Rahu = 8th lord in 7H (other Markasthana) = "both 8th lords in Maraka sthanas." Redeeming: 9L Jupiter in 8H. Prediction: "Loss of life within couple of months; political turmoil; possible major political bad event for India; Sun in Mrityubhaga = political power struck; convinced this is a bad eclipse for India." BUT Ketu+Mercury(12L moksha)+Sun in lagna = "excellent for spiritual renaissance; good eclipse spiritually." 3-eclipse sequence (Lunar+Total Solar+Lunar): "Exactly as described by Vyasa for Mahabharata War; same sequence preceded Dwarka tsunami ~36 years later. Historically raises probability of significant events but not certainty." Rahu-Ketu on Sun-Moon dual interpretation: Sun = individual soul (Atman aspect); Moon = individual mind — together = "eyes through which consciousness perceives duality." Affliction by Rahu-Ketu from duality perspective = bad (dharma activities impeded; temples close). From non-duality = excellent (individuality temporarily overcome = samadhi possible; "Ramakrishna's nirvikalpa samadhi = Dasha Pravesh chart had Sun-Moon on Rahu-Ketu axis"). Eclipse time practical rule: STOP dharmic ritual activities; START/intensify meditation and japa = "up to 1000× more powerful than normal time." Kali Yuga: "No apocalypse in Vedic framework; Dharma walks with 1 leg = at lowest; ups and downs within Kali Yuga exist; doomsday not for another 428,000 years."

    BPHS Ch.25 — 12th Lord in Houses 1–3: Spendthrift + Weak + Kapha (1H), Wise Spender + Dharmic + Soft-Spoken (2H), Sibling Problems + Many Enemies + Selfish (3H) & Dosha-Planet Table + D16 = Mental State (Not Vehicles)

12L core principle: "12L = humility, loss, giving up, liberation. Wherever placed = causes person to spend or let go in that house's significations." 12L in 1H: spendthrift by nature (12L agenda = spending in lagna = natural trait); physically weak (12L = loss in house of vitality); Kapha diseases (natural 12th = Pisces = Jupiter = watery/Kapha quality; PVNR: "caveat — if 12L is Saturn, person won't be Kapha; check the actual planet"); no wealth/knowledge (from 2H, 12L = 11L in 12H = profits in loss = no accumulation; from 5H, 12L = 8L in 9th from 5H = fortune of scholarship destroyed). 12L in 2H: wise spending/smart investment (from 2H-lagna, 12L = 11L in lagna = "accumulates even while spending; wise investment not wasteful"); dharmic fighter (2H = 6th from 9H = Dharmayuddha = "house of fighting for dharma; planets there show how you fight for dharma"; from 9H, 12L = 4L in 6H = argala on dharma + initiative in dharmic fight); soft-spoken (12H agenda = humility; in 2H of speech = "very humble in speech; sweet, not harsh or commanding"); happy (from 4H, 12L = 9L in 11th from 4H = "9L in 11H from 4H = excellent; lot of conveyances; very happy"). 12L in 3H: sibling problems (from native's lagna = Dusthana lord in 3H = problems in sibling relationships; PVNR: "brothers may do well in their own life, but native has problems with them"); makes many enemies (from 6H, 12L = 7L in 9th from 6H = excellent for 6H = "gives many enemies; sees everyone as enemy"); selfish (12L agenda = humility; 3H = fire/initiative = "humility overridden by 3H energy; takes care of self instead of giving up self"). Dosha-planet table: Pitta = Sun/Mars/Ketu (hot/fire); Vata = Saturn/Rahu/waning Moon (cool/dry/airy); Kapha = Jupiter/Venus/waxing Moon (cool/moist/heavy); Mercury = Tridoshic (depends on sign + associations). D16 Kalamsa: "D16 is NOT just vehicles — it is the chart of your mental state. Moon has 16 kalas (phases). D16 = phases of your mind: when happy, when unhappy." D30 + D16 link: mental imbalances in D16 can manifest as physical disease because D30 shows subconscious/karmic roots of sickness.

    BPHS Ch.25 — 12th Lord in Houses 7–12: Spouse Expenses + Weak (7H), Profits + Soft-Spoken + All Good Qualities (8H), Guru Dissatisfaction + Driven (9H), Career Expenses + Little Father Happiness (10H), Problems in Gains + Others' Money (11H) & Vimana Yoga + Anger (12H)

12L in 7H: always expenses on spouse (12L agenda = expenses; 7H = wife's resources = "whatever expense applied on account of wife will be sanctioned"); no marital happiness (from 7H-lagna, 12L = 6L in lagna = fights, unpleasantness); physically weak (12L aspects lagna from 7H = lord of loss aspecting vitality); no scholarship (from 5H, 12L = 8L = Arishta for scholarship; but possible occult knowledge as Viparita exception — CAVEAT: "Viparita Rajyoga works for sudden gains of money/power NOT scholarship; scholarship requires sustained effort, not a sudden blessing"). 12L in 8H: always profitable (−×−=+; lord of losses struggles to give losses; profits result); soft-spoken (humility-agenda planet aspects 2H of speech from 7th position = same result as 12L in 2H); medium lifespan (longevity thumb rule: Kendra/Trikona lord in 8H = long life; neutral planet [2/8/12L] = medium; 3/6/11L = short); all good qualities — sampurna guna (from 12H-lagna, 12L = LL in 9H = "divine guidance, clear dharma; selfless person who knows exactly what to do"). 12L in 9H: guru dissatisfaction OR humble servant of guru (both possible; 12L = dissatisfaction/humility in 9H = double-reading; Parashara stresses negative); enmity with friends (from 6H, 12L = 7L in 4th from 6H = excellent for 6H = many enmities); highly driven — swartha sadhana (≠ selfish; swa+artha+sadhana = "achieves what he set out to do"; from 3H, 12L = 10L in 7H = "uses interactions to accomplish karma; moves heaven and earth for his sankalpa"). 12L in 10H: career-related expenses (12L in 10H = "spending on professional image maintenance — dress code, expensive car for career; higher percentage of earnings on status than others"); little happiness from father (12L = dissatisfaction; Argala on 9H = dissatisfaction with/about father). 12L in 11H: problems in gains (12L = Maraka of 11H in its lagna = drains profits); sometimes receives money saved by others (from 11H-lagna, 12L = 2L = accumulated wealth of friends/elder sibling = "friend may write a check from his big bank balance; inheritance-like, without own effort"). 12L in 12H: Vimana Yoga (if strong and no 6H affiliation = humble, virtuous, selfless) OR lots of expenses + no physical happiness + angry/resentful (if 6H-affiliated; from 6H, 12L = 7L in 7th from 6H = excellent for 6H = "makes a point of telling people he hates them").

PVNR's Pratyangira Warning: Weapon-Personified NOT Mother Deity — Use Chandi/Chamunda Instead; Prasna 3-Chart Method (D1=Present, D9=Past, D3=Future) & 5-Minute Sign Technique: Jupiter in Kendra from Hora Sign = Problem Solvable

Pratyangira warning (PVNR strong): "Stay completely away from Pratyangira homam." Pratyangira is NOT a mother deity (like Chandi, Kali, Lakshmi, Saraswati) — she is a divine weapon (Astra) personified, created to calm the extremely agitated Narasimha after Hiranyakashipu vadha. "She is an astra, not a devata you pray to for personal problems. She met Narasimha. She is not meant for you and me." 99% of practitioners today have no clue what they are doing; 1% with partial knowledge may accidentally harm themselves or the client. "This is like standing next to someone detonating a nuclear weapon without understanding how it works." Alternative: "Go to your mother (Chandi) and complain — let her invoke Pratyangira on your behalf if needed." For Mars/Ugra purposes use: Chandi Homa, Chamunda (Mars+Saturn combination), Narasimha, Valli Subramanya. Other vidyas to avoid without proper initiation: Bala, Atibala, Mahabala (Gayatri-based). Prasna three-chart method: D1 (Rashi) = present situation; D9 (Navamsha) = past karma/background (check if D9 lagna has link with native's natal chart = validity check); D3 (Drekkana) = future direction. D9 validity rule: lagna or lagna lord must have Jupiter influence (Jupiter with LL, aspecting LL, in lagna, or aspecting lagna) for the prasna answer to be useful and come to pass. 5-Minute Sign technique (PVNR personal): each hora sign divided into 12 × 5-minute parts; start from day-strong or night-strong sign of current hora planet (Moon hora → Cancer or Leo); find the 5-minute sign at current moment (visible in Jagannatha Hora software next to "hora"). PVNR criterion: "If Jupiter is in a Kendra from the 5-minute sign → problem can be solved." Example: Libra = 5-minute sign; Jupiter in 4th (Kendra) from Libra → confirmed her problems can be solved within ~1 year. Angaraka Homam timing rule: use TIME limit (half hour = quality chanting) NOT count target ("count leads to hurried, insincere chanting"). Kavacham = always chanted AFTER homam, in presence of fire, never offered into fire (kavachas are chanted, not ahuted).

BPHS Ch.24 Final Verses: Strength Calibration (Full→100%, Half→50%, Weak→25%), Dual Ownership — Balanced Cancels + Unbalanced Both Manifest, Shadbala Context-Sensitivity (Digbala for Dharma, Kaalabala for Moon, Sthana for Fixed) & Combust = Parashurama Before Rama

Verse 145 — strength calibration: "Results given for each house lord position assume full realization. Planet's strength determines how much manifests." Full/Purnabala = 100% results; half-strength = ~50%; weak/hinabala = ~25%. PVNR: "These are approximate guidelines — a weak planet will not give the full promised results." Strength indicators: exalted/Moolatrikona/own/friendly = strong; enemy/combust/debilitated/graha-yuddha-loser = weak. Verse 146 — dual ownership conflict: "If a planet owns 2 houses and is placed such that it is good for one and bad for the other, and the two tendencies are equal and opposite → they cancel. If unequal, both manifest proportionally." Example: Saturn for Virgo lagna = 5L (trine, good) + 6L (dusthana, bad); in dusthana = good as 6L (Viparita) + bad as 5L; balanced = cancel. "Even across different planets — if one combination shows fortune and another misfortune at the same time: cancel if balanced, both manifest if unbalanced." Verses 147-148 — proportional results: same quarter/half/full scale; "take with a pinch of salt — they are approximate." Shadbala context: Parashara's strength concept predates his Shadbala formula; "Shadbala is a robotic mechanism combining Kaalabala, Digbala, Sthana Bala, etc. — good for automated analysis but sub-optimal for context-specific work." Context-sensitive rule: Digbala = most important for direction in life (dharma/artha/kama/moksha); Kaalabala = most important for Moon's beneficence (waxing vs waning); Sthana Bala = most important for fixed-nature planets. Combust rule: Venus near Sun = Venus combust = weakened even in good house. PVNR analogy: "Sun is Rama; Venus is Parashurama. When Rama and Parashurama meet, Parashurama loses his luster."

  52. 52

Bhava Chakra Revised (PVNR): Lagna = START of 1st House (Not Middle); Parashara's 4 Proofs — Aspect Degrees (Mars 4H = 90-120°), Bhava Spanning 2 Signs, Visible/Invisible Rule, Sudarshan Chakra; Bhava ≠ Rasi: Yogas Use Bhava, Exaltation Uses Rasi

PVNR presents a revised Bhava Chakra: "Lagna is the BEGINNING of the 1st house; the next 30° is the 1st house; then 2nd house, etc." — distinct from whole-sign where lagna falls anywhere within the first house. Four evidences from Parashara: (1) Aspect quantification: "90–120° from Mars = 4th house; 120–150° from Jupiter = 5th house" — if whole-sign were intended, 95° from Mars would still be 3rd sign; Parashara says 4th = counting from planet's longitude in 30° intervals. (2) "Bhava spanning two signs" — Parashara explicitly says "in case a bhava extends across two signs" = only possible if house boundaries are set by longitude from lagna, not by sign boundaries. (3) Visible/invisible rule: tradition says houses 1-6 = invisible (below horizon), 7-12 = visible; this is physically correct ONLY if lagna is the START of 1st house; in whole-sign, part of 1st house would be above horizon (contradiction). (4) Sudarshan Chakra: "make 3 concentric circles, divide into 12, place planets by house from Lagna/Moon/Sun" — separate chart implies house ≠ sign. Practical rule: planets with longitude BELOW lagna longitude → move to previous house (affects only planets near sign-change boundaries above the lagna degree). Implications: Ashtakavarga — "Saturn in 3rd from Mars" should use longitude (90-120° = 4th); Mahapurusha Yoga tightens (planet must be in Kendra per Bhava, not just Kendra sign); transit Murti depends on exact Moon degree within Rasi, not just the Rasi. Critical distinction: "Rasi Chakra = which sign physically contains the planet (exaltation, Rasi aspects, dispositor). Bhava Chakra = which house (yoga results, house-lord-in-house readings, argala). All Parashara's results — '2nd lord in 3rd gives this' — are about Bhava, not Rasi. Exaltation/debilitation = sign-based, Rasi only. Argala = house-based, Bhava only."

  53. 53

Prasna Modes: 108 (Navamsa Number) vs 249 (KP Sub-Segments) vs Nadi 1800 (All 16 Vargas Fixed); KP = Most Successful Prasna Astrologer (Predicted Bus Times to the Minute); Prasna = Divination NOT Science: Faith + Consistency Determines Accuracy

Three prasna modes: (1) Prasna 108 — ask querent for number 1-108 (navamsa number); take middle longitude of that navamsa as prasna lagna; reliable for Rasi + Navamsa only; higher divisions arbitrary. (2) Prasna 249 (KP) — ask for number 1-249 (nakshatra sub-segments); derive prasna lagna longitude; Krishnamurti Paddhati used this; "KP was reportedly the most successful prasna astrologer of the last 100 years — predicted bus/electricity arrival times to the minute; a devotee of Chitragrupta." (3) Nadi Prasna (PVNR) — ask for number 1-1800 (150 nadis per Rasi × 12); each nadi captures specific Shodasha Varga positions because it represents a point where at least one divisional chart sign changes; "most complete — all Shodasha Vargas fixed reliably." Prasannavarga text: "most reliable systematic prasna rules; Dr. B.V. Raman's translation recommended; author was an elevated Nambudiri astrologer whose rules have power from an elevated soul setting them for the world." Core principle: "Prasna is more divination than science. It is subjective — depends on your relationship with God. Pick a set of rules, stick to them, and ask God to answer through that scheme." Natal vs Prasna: "Natal chart = scientific rules, reproducible; wrong rule = consistently wrong result. Prasna = person's faith + relationship with God determines whether the scheme works for them." Bhoga technique (for dasha antardasha): from Dasha lord, count 6th house → Antardasha lord should fall there; 6th house from Antardasha lord = result house for that sub-period. Example: Mercury MD → count 6th from Mercury; if Rahu = Antardasha, 6th from Rahu = Pisces → results in Pisces house area. Gregorian numbers (9-9-09, etc.): completely arbitrary calendar; "why does August have 31 days? Papal edicts. 999 and 12-12-12 mean nothing astrologically; Indian systems (tithi, nakshatra, solar/lunar markers) have astronomical logic — those matter."

  54. 54

Bhava Chart for Rectification: Taurus D4 (Not Aquarius) = Foreign Travel in Mercury-Rahu Dasha via Bhoga Technique; D10 Venus to 5H (Purva Punya) via Bhava = First Job Explained; Nakshatra-Planet Lordship = Dasha Only (NOT General Spiritual Rulership): Abhijit Cannot Have Vimshottari Lord

Rectification using Bhava chart (Satish, May 9 1983, Srikakulam; foreign travel Jan 2001 in Mercury-Rahu dasha): D4 Aquarius lagna — Mercury in 12H explains foreign dasha, but Rahu (AD) in 4H doesn't support; D4 Taurus lagna — Bhoga technique: from Mercury (MD), 6th → Rahu (AD); 6th from Rahu = Scorpio; in Taurus D4, Scorpio = 7H (foreign-travel house: 7/9/12); Ketu in 8H (Taurus D4) explains disruption better than Ketu in 10H/11H (Aquarius D4). PVNR: "Taurus D4 is more consistent when Bhava chart is applied." D10 Bhava example: Venus AD in Ketu MD gave first job; Rasi D10 (Pisces lagna) = Venus in 6H (Maraka sthana) = doesn't explain lucky career break; Bhava-adjusted D10 = Venus moves to 5H (Purva Punya = lucky break) + Ketu+Mars in 10H = technical career. "Bhava explained the chart completely; Rasi did not." Rectification principle: "Always use longitude-based Bhava chart; if a planet is actually in 4th house (even if we think it's in 5th), it gives 4th house results. This applies to natal AND Tithi Pravesh charts." Nakshatra lordship debate: "Vimshottari assigns nakshatras to planets purely for dasha calculation — which nakshatra maps to which dasha period. This does NOT mean Punarvasu has a permanent esoteric relationship with Jupiter. In Ashtottari or Kalachakra, the mapping is completely different." Abhijit problem: 28-nakshatra scheme includes Abhijit; Vimshottari is based on 27 nakshatras; "Abhijit cannot have a Vimshottari lord because it doesn't exist in that scheme. Modern teachers claiming 'Abhijit as AK = great soul' are mixing incompatible schemes = illogical." What is legitimate: nakshatra devata connections (Bharani→Yama, Pushya→Brihaspati) = valid ancient Vedic knowledge. "The darkness of Kali Yuga introduced corruptions. Permanent planet-nakshatra lordship based only on Vimshottari is a corruption."

Mantra Sadhana Threshold: Reflex-Action = Karma Actually Burning (3+ Hours Daily vs 15 Minutes); Long Texts (Aditya Hridayam/Chandi) for Unstable Minds; Multiple Deities OK Under Material Distress (Not Moksha Seeking); Vivekananda's Suffering in Maya

Mantra sadhana threshold: "If you do any powerful prayer for 3-4 hours daily, definitely there will be a major impact on your life. 10-15 minutes = small fire; 3+ hours = real combustion that neutralizes blocking karmas." Karma unblocking: every person suffers due to blocking karmas (past actions creating obstacles); these unblock through (1) suffering the consequences, OR (2) burning through sadhana. "Reflex action threshold: when you catch yourself humming the mantra in the bathroom, while driving, without conscious effort — the mind has become saturated. Part of your mind is continuously filled with mantra instead of random thoughts. That is when real karma-burning begins." Long texts vs short mantras: short mantra (e.g., "Om Hri Surya Aditya Om") = for stable, focused minds; long texts (Aditya Hridayam ~30-40 shlokas, Chandi 700, Vishnu Sahasranama 108 names) = for unstable/scattered minds. "The longer structure keeps the mind engaged while other thoughts pass — those other thoughts are at least better than random worries." Multiple deities under distress: PVNR revises earlier advice (single-pointed worship): "For material problems so overwhelming you cannot focus — propitiating multiple deities is okay. You are not digging for water (moksha); you are making a pile of sand (solving material problems). Different deities give different types of sand." Vivekananda example: "Even Vivekananda, before Ramakrishna, was in maya's grip — father's debts, sisters' suicides, job loss, house threatened. His solution was total renunciation, but that is not appropriate for ordinary people." For this chart: Aditya Hridayam (primary, daytime; Sun = Leo lagna lord) + Mahalakshmi Ashtottaram (~30 min; Venus = Diamond gem) + Hanuman Chalisa (Mars propitiation; "Hanuman is your karaka"). "Don't wait for single-pointed focus when overwhelmed by material suffering."

  56. 56

Karakamsa = D20 Vimshamsa NOT Navamsa (Parashara: D20 = Upasana, Navamsa = Marriage); Ishta Devata = 12th from AK in D20; Rahu AK = Count Anti-Clockwise; Mahavidyas for Moksha ONLY (NOT Material Goals); 7 vs 8 Charakarakas = Same Degree → Use 8 (Parashara's Criterion)

Karakamsa = D20 (PVNR's position): "Parashara explicitly says: parents from D12, upasana (spiritual practice) from D20, knowledge from D24. When he says 'Karakamsa' he means Atmakaraka in D20 (Vimshamsa). 'Amsa' does not automatically mean Navamsa — Parashara defined 16 amsas with specific purposes. If we take amsa = Navamsa everywhere, why did he bother defining D20?" Proof from Ramakrishna: 12th from AK in D9 (Navamsa) = Sagittarius → Sun → Rama/Tara; but Ramakrishna's Ishta was Kali (not Rama); D20 approach gives correct answer; Navamsa gives wrong answer for a verified saint. Ishta Devata formula: (1) find AK (highest-degree planet, 7 or 8 karaka scheme); (2) find AK's position in D20; (3) take 12th from AK in D20; (4) sign lord + planets in/aspecting = deity. Parashara's deity mapping: Sun→Shiva; Moon→Gauri; Jupiter→Sadashiva; Mercury/Saturn (good sign)→Vishnu; Saturn (evil sign)/Rahu→Durga/Tamasik; Ketu→Ganesha; Mars→Skanda. Rahu as AK: "count 12th anti-clockwise (Rahu moves retrograde = reverse direction)." 7 vs 8 Charakarakas: K.N. Rao = always 7; Sanjay Rath = 8 for human charts; PVNR/Parashara criterion = "if 2 planets are tied at same degree → use 8; otherwise use 7; neither Rao nor Rath universally correct." Karaka replacement theory (Sanjay Rath) = PVNR disagrees: "Parashara never said Karakas change with dashas. They are statically defined at birth. Your Ishta Devata doesn't change mid-life." Mahavidyas (PVNR's mapping from Tantra): each Mahavidya = one angle on Maya: Sun/Tara = crosses over maya; Moon/Kali = deprivation of attachments; Mars/Bhairavi = fearless fighter; Mercury/Matangi = understands maya to overcome. "Prescribing Chinnamasta to get a job = absolute craziness. Mahavidyas are for Moksha — NOT for jobs, court cases, or children."

Bill Gates (Seattle 1955): Alternative AL 20°20' Sag → Venus+Exalted Saturn in 11th (Better than Standard); Graha Arudha Q&A: Parashara Only Defines A1-A12 + Planet Arudhas (NOT L9/L7 Arudhas); PVNR Meta-Commentary: Arudha = Signal with Noise, Not Complete White Noise

Bill Gates partial validation (Oct 28 1955, Seattle; Gemini lagna 26°22'): Standard AL = Virgo → 11th (Cancer) has ~3 aspects; alternative AL = 20°20' Sagittarius → 11th (20°20' Libra): Venus (lord of Libra + occupant) + Saturn exalted (occupant) + Moon half + Jupiter 3/4 ≈ 3.25 aspects — stronger qualitatively (lord of 11th + exalted planet in 11th) but not as overwhelming as Dhirubhai (6.5/8). Problem: A10 in 12th from Alternative AL (Rajapada in 12th = not ideal for kendra/kona rule). A9 (Bhagyapada) in 7th from AL. PVNR: "still something to reconcile; signal with noise, not perfect." Graha Arudha Q&A: "Parashara defines only two types of Arudhas — A1 through A12 (house Arudhas) and Arudha of each planet (Sun's Arudha, Moon's Arudha, etc.). He did NOT define 'L9 Arudha' or 'L7 Arudha' — those are student/teacher terminology." Correct approach: "If you want 9th lord's manifestation → take 9th lord as a planet and find its Graha Arudha." Stronger sign rule for dual-ownership: "both signs may show minor results but stronger sign dominates; PVNR not fully confident in edge cases." Narandas book technique (Sanjay Rath): Graha Arudha from a planet's two signs = shows influence of different lagna-types on you (where it falls from your lagna = fortune/tension/loss from people of that lagna type); "from Sanjay Rath's tradition, not Parashara directly." PVNR meta-commentary: "Most people use Arudhas AFTER already deciding something from other factors — not true prediction from Arudha alone. It is signal corrupted with white noise. Parashara uses anustup meter (simplest, most ancient = authentic). When I deeply understand a Parashara teaching and apply it, it works consistently. The full correct understanding of BPHS may emerge over the next 100 years." Practical guidance: "Use what you have confidence in. Gradually test alternatives. Don't look down on lesser knowledge — what you are proud of may not be that superior."

  58. 58

    AK = Sense of "I" (Vedantic Ego NOT English Ego); AmK = Sense of Purpose/Mission; 12th from AK in D20 = Ishta Devata; 6th from AmK in D10 = Purpose-Deity; D4 = Bhagya/Fortune (Parashara — NOT D9); D2 Alternative = Chart of Death/Transition (Sampada = "Falling")

AK deep teaching: "Atmakaraka is NOT ego in the English sense (pride). It is ego in the Vedantic sense — your sense of self, your 'I-ness.' The very definition of 'I' that drives your entire existence." AK = king; whole personality = kingdom; AK calls the shots. "Your sense of 'this is I' is the king." 12th from AK = what helps dissolve the sense of 'I' = path to moksha = Ishta Devata. AmK = Amatyakaraka = minister: "not career per se, but the sense of purpose — this is my mission, this is what I need to do." AmK advises AK; before ego can dissolve (AK → moksha), the minister's agenda must be fulfilled. 6th from AmK = obstacles to mission → deity who helps overcome them = "Prana Devata; more fundamental for practical spiritual work than Ishta Devata." Divisional charts: Ishta Devata (12th from AK) = D20 Vimshamsa ("Parashara explicitly says D20 = upasana; Ramakrishna, Vivekananda validated in D20, NOT D9"); Prana Devata (6th from AmK) = D10 Dasamsa. D4 (Chaturthamsa) for wealth: "Parashara calls D4 'Turiyamsa = Bhagya (fortune).' Parashara NEVER said D9 shows fortune — he said D9 shows wives and dharma. D9 = fortune is a traditional conditioning, not Parashara's. Consider D4 for wealth analysis; test Karkamsa yogas in D4 for rich people's charts." D2 alternative meaning: "Sampada (Parashara's word for D2) has two meanings: (1) wealth/possessions (standard interpretation), (2) falling/death. D2 has only Sun's hora (Deva = day) and Moon's hora (Pitru = night) — after death one goes to Deva or Pitru lokas; these are the same rulers. D2 may be chart of death/transition OR wealth OR both." D60 caution: "research area; standard 'AL as previous life lagna' is unverified; only phobia research (3rd from AL in D60) showed some correlation."

  59. 59

    Quantitative Aspect Strength (Parashara Formula): 7H = 100%, Jupiter +50 Points in 5/9H (240° = 75%), Mars +25 Points in 4/8H (210° = 100%); CRITICAL: Aspect of X on Y ≠ Aspect of Y on X (Asymmetric); Rahu Exaltation: PVNR = Taurus (NOT Gemini)

Quantitative aspect formula (Parashara): at 180° (7th house) = 100% for all planets. Going to 210°: falls from 100% to 75% for ordinary planets. At 240° (8th house cusp) = 25% for ordinary planets. Jupiter special aspects (+50 points): at 240° = 75% (not 25%); at 210° = ~87.5%. Mars special aspects (+25 points): at 210° = 100% (not 75%). Example: Mars at 28° Gemini, Saturn at 7° Sagittarius → "9 degrees short of 180°; 9/30 × 25% reduction = 7.5% deduction → Mars aspect on Saturn ≈ 30%." CRITICAL asymmetric rule: "Aspects of X on Y and aspects of Y on X are NOT the same." Same example: Saturn at 7° Sag has 7th aspect at 7° Gemini; Mars is at 28° Gemini = 21° further = 21/30 × 25% reduction = 17.5% deduction → Saturn aspect on Mars ≈ 82%. "Mars is NOT really affecting Saturn strongly (~30%), but Saturn IS strongly affecting Mars (~82%). The interpretive implications are completely different — they are not a symmetric pair." PVNR: "This is a very important teaching that most astrologers miss. They say 'Mars and Saturn aspect each other' as if equal. Parashara's formula shows they are very different in their strengths." Jagannatha Hora new feature: quantitative aspect display showing exact percentage aspects for all 24 natal points will be added. Rahu/Ketu exaltation debate: Sanjay Rath = Rahu exalted in Gemini (general), Taurus (for longevity). PVNR: "In my research on techniques sensitive to sign-placement, I found better results taking Rahu/Ketu exalted in Taurus/Scorpio rather than Gemini/Sagittarius. I tend to consider Taurus/Scorpio as exaltation/debilitation signs for Rahu/Ketu."

JH 7.4 Features: Quantitative Aspect Evaluation (Any Div×Any Div), Stationary Transit (Planet Speed=0 = Max Power), Antardasha Ordering Variants; Vimshottari Dasha Progression: ONE Physical Zodiac (No Separate Navamsa Zodiac), Progressed Divisional Longitude + Transit Correlation = Events

JH 7.4 Feature 1 — Quantitative Planetary Aspect Evaluation: Longitudes window → can mix any divisional chart planets aspecting any other divisional chart arudhas/cusps. "D24 planets aspecting D10 arudha padas = which planet strongly links education to career." Uses Parashara's aspect formula; Rahu/Ketu by extrapolation. Available only for longitude-based Arudha calculation. Feature 2 — Stationary Transit: Mundane tab → exact date/time when planet speed = 0°/day (direction change). Maximum focus/power. "Orb = ~2-3 weeks; check if natal or progressed divisional longitude is near that degree." Feature 3 — Dasha Antardasha Ordering: Vimshottari = forward from MD lord; Ashtottari (one tradition) = starts from NEXT planet, ends with MD lord; Shorshatri = anti-clockwise. Core principle of Dasha Progression: "Parashara says dhyana nakshatra — he never says specifically Moon's nakshatra. So you can progress ANY planet." Critical insight: "There is no separate Navamsa zodiac. The Navamsa zodiac IS the same physical zodiac. Navamsa Mars at 4°42' Aquarius is physically at 4°42' Aquarius. All divisional positions are just different mathematical points in the SAME zodiac." Technique (5 steps): (1) Identify relevant planet for event type (7L=marriage, 5L=childbirth, 6L=accident, 10L from Ghati Lagna=political power). (2) Compute its progressed position in Rasi via Vimshottari Dasha timing. (3) Find its divisional longitude in relevant chart (D9=marriage, D7=children, D30=mishaps, D5=political). (4) Check if any Rasi transit planet closely conjuncts/aspects that divisional longitude (within 2-4°). (5) Verify transit planet has significant natal role in that divisional chart. Practical benefit: objective, computer-verifiable, statistically testable.

Atmakaraka = I-ness / Ego Sense (Bandhanamokshakaraka: Binds AND Liberates); Houses from AK = Current Spiritual Path (10th=Action, 6th=Service, 5th=Scripture, 8th=Meditation, 12th=Moksha-Ready); 12th from AK = Ishta Devata; JH 7.4: Use True Nodes (NOT Mean Nodes)

AK philosophy: "Atmakaraka is your very sense of I — your I-ness, your ego sense. In Vedantic terms: the self-awareness that defines 'this is I.'" AK vs Lagna: Lagna = body (one part of self-awareness); AK = total ego sense including body but beyond body. Whatever the I-ness focuses on = what the person pursues. "Parashara says Bandhanamokshakaraka — AK is the one who BOTH binds AND liberates. I-ness binds you to the world; the same I-ness when it dissolves becomes liberation." Why 12th from AK = Ishta Devata/moksha: "12th house = giving, letting go. 12th from AK = what happens when I-ness starts to dissolve. That is why 12th from AK shows moksha and the deity who helps dissolve the ego." If 12th house from AK is strong = I-ness ready to be dropped; if not strong = egoistic. Houses from AK and corresponding spiritual paths: 10th strong = karma/service (organizational work); 6th strong = go to ashram and serve physically; 7th strong = deal with people for religious organization; 9th strong = build temple, active religion; 5th strong = study scriptures/Puranas; 8th strong = meditation and inner transformation; 12th strong = ready for moksha, worship Ishta Devata. "A real guru knows your nature without the horoscope. We approximate this using AK." True nodes (JH 7.4): mean nodes are abstract constructs that do not physically exist; all eclipse calculations use true nodes; no classical text says Rahu must be retrograde every moment (brief forward phases = like Jupiter briefly retrograde overall); true nodes give better divisional longitude research results. Config: Preferences → Planet Calculation Options → last combo box → "True Nodes." Rahu always measured from end of sign (backward reckoning) regardless of brief forward phases.

Gems Useless for Major Karma (Even Diamond Risky = Venus Maraka in D30); Ugra Narasimha = Correct Remedy (Scorpio+Mercury+Rahu → Mars Deity in Fierce Form); 8-Day Homa Tuesday; Soft Devata = Slow+Safe; Fierce = Fast+Spillover; Mantra: Desire+Mantra Coexist = Karma Burns; Karma Transfer = Astrologer Takes Small Part

Gem advice refusal: "For major karma — 8L Mercury in 12H with Rahu-Ketu + Gulika in D30 — buying a $5000 gem cannot postpone it. Even meditation or homa needs huge effort. And wrong gem can aggravate." Why diamond risky: Venus = Lagna lord but in D30 (Simhamsa) Venus is Maraka; suggesting diamond = may quicken death. Correct approach: propitiate ACTIVE dasha planets (Mercury, Rahu) via their deity. Deity selection logic: Mercury = Vaishnava planet; Rahu in Scorpio (Martian sign) + Mercury = fierce form needed not gentle Vishnu; Scorpio → Mars → Narasimha; fierce + Rahu = Ugra Narasimha. Mantra (32-syllable, revealed by Shiva to Parvati): "Ugram Viram Maha Vishnum Jvalantam Sarvato Mukham / Nrisimham Bhishanam Bhadram Mrityu Mrityum Namamyaham" (I bow to the death of death). Alternative: Sudarshana Homa. Ritual: 8-day continuous homa (8 = 8th lord Mercury); start or end on Tuesday (Mars day for Narasimha); several lakh mantra repetitions; family members should chant — their desire for recovery will direct the energy. Soft vs fierce devata: soft (gentle Vishnu) = removes bad karma slowly, fruit by rotten fruit, very safe, no spillover, may be too slow for emergency; fierce (Ugra Narasimha, Chandi, Hanuman) = removes karma quickly but "spillover — those doing sadhana get fever or minor illness; bear it, it is better than not doing." Mantra mechanism: "Desire (person should get well) + mantra must coexist in mind with no other thought. Even a few seconds of this can do anything — that is what rishis do." Karma transfer: "When astrologer focuses intensely on curing someone, they take on small part of the karma. I got a big cramp in my foot at that moment — confirmed this mantra is right, energy was already moving." Rahu-Ketu note: "Cure can come through pathbreaking experimental medicine — keep mind open." Priests typically fail because mind wanders — for a few seconds of perfect focus, even with attachment (wanting loved one to survive), powerful results are possible.

Atmakaraka = Ahamkara (Vedanta): I-ness = Individualized Consciousness Through Past Karma Prism (NOT Pride); 7th from Karkamsa = Soul-Level Vasanas NOT Guaranteed Outcomes; Amatyakaraka = Sense of Mission (Minister); AK+AmK in Quadrant = Rajamandala Yoga; 6th from AmK = Obstacles to Fulfill Mission

Atmakaraka = Ahamkara in Vedanta (not pride but sense of "this is I"). Ahamkara = base that controls Manas (sensory mind), Buddhi (logical mind), Chitta (memory). "All consciousness is one (Brahman), but a part has a particular I-ness stamped on it — sees the world through a prism of past conditioning. My sense of I is Narasimha with these desires and these karmas." Karkamsa results = vasanas and aspirations at soul-level, not what actually happens. "7th from Karkamsa = soul's sense of 'this should be my spouse' — not necessarily who you marry. What manifests depends on environment, other factors, dashas." Last thought at death = seed for next life's vasanas (Prithviraj Chauhan → Akbar per Vimalananda's vision = Islamic architecture vasana). Amatyakaraka = sense of "this is what I need to do" (minister/counselor of the Ahamkara). Conscience = AK + Jupiter combined: Jupiter = Viveka (discretion, right vs wrong) + AmK = sense of purpose. "The voice is always there; if suppressed = gets weaker; if listened to = gets louder." AK-AmK relationship: if in mutual quadrant/trine (friendly) = Rajamandala Yoga (king and minister aligned = mission fulfilled). If AmK weak = like a weak minister whose agenda never reaches the king. 6th from AmK = obstacles to fulfill mission ("12th from AK = ego dissolution = moksha path; but 6th from AmK is often MORE important — overcoming obstacles to mission. Until mission is fulfilled, you are not free"). The 5th from Karkamsa shows skills; the key is whether the soul uses those skills in service of its mission (AmK alignment).

Four Purusharthas: Dharma=Fire Signs, Artha=Earth, Kama=Air, Moksha=Water; Bhava=Intangible (Sanskrit: Meaning), Arudha Pada=Tangible (Sanskrit: Word); Eshwar (Leo Lagna 1960): D24 Mars Dominant on 9H+A9 = Mechanical Engineering; D10 All 3 Kama Trikonas (3-7-11H) = Business; Rahu in A7 = Power Systems (Big Machinery)

Four Purusharthas: Dharma (righteousness) = Fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius); Artha (resources for dharma) = Earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn); Kama (desire = engine of action) = Air signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius); Moksha (liberation) = Water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces). "A good human being strikes balance between all four; as life progresses, moves more toward moksha. Artha without dharma = wrong; kama without dharma = dangerous." Bhava vs Arudha: "Sanskrit for house = Bhava (meaning/intangible). Sanskrit for Arudha = Pada (word/tangible). Houses show intangible truth; Arudha padas show tangible manifestation the world perceives." 9th house = learning/knowledge (intangible); A9 = the actual degree certificate ("B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering"); 7th house = desire for business (intangible); A7 = the actual company. Eshwar (Apr 16, 1960, Leo lagna 28°25'; Moon 5°8' Sag; mechanical engineer; started power systems business ~10 years ago; heavy debts). D24 — why mechanical engineering: D24 lagna = Gemini; 9th house = Aquarius (Saturn+Rahu lords); Saturn debilitated in Aries (Martian sign); Mars 90% on Saturn + Mars 90% on A9 = "Mars dominant on both 9th lord and A9 = mechanical/structural engineering (not electrical which would be Rahu-dominant)." D10 — why business not service: D10 lagna = Taurus; 6th lord Venus in 12H (enemy sign Aries) = service-oriented path weak; 7th house Scorpio with Ketu (co-lord in own house) = 7th strong; 7th lord Mars in 3H (initiative + boldness); 11th lord Jupiter in 11H aspecting Mars. "All 3 Kama Trikonas (3-7-11) connected = strong drive for business not service." Mars (karka business) dominates Saturn (karka service) → business is right vocation. Power systems field: Rahu at 9° Taurus; A7 at 6°6' Taurus = Rahu within 3° of A7 (1st from A7) = "Rahu = big machinery → power systems business is RIGHT field."

    BPHS Ch.34 Yogakarakas: Kendra Lords=Neutral (Benefics Don't Help/Malefics Don't Harm); Trikona Lords=Always Benefic (Lagna=Trikona Primarily); 3/6/11=Struggle/Challenge; 2/8/12=Depends on Company; Sun/Moon 8L Exception=Tapasya; Planets as Inner Qualities: Sun=Soul, Moon=Mind, Jupiter=Conscience/Viveka, Venus=Greatest Tapasvi

Ch.34 shifts from Karkamsa to bhavadhipatya (house ownership) functional nature. Kendra lords (1,4,7,10): natural benefics owning kendras → do NOT give auspicious results; natural malefics owning kendras → do NOT give inauspicious results. "Kendra ownership = neutral; foundation structures do their function but don't themselves bless or curse." Lagna exception: "Lagnam kendra trikona apavada — lagna is BOTH kendra and trikona; count it as trikona primarily; kendra quality adds extra power." Trikona lords (1,5,9): all give auspicious results regardless of natural nature — "even Saturn, Mars, Rahu owning trikonas give good results; trikona lords carry Poorvapunya and dharma." 5th+9th = Vishyasadhanam (special wealth): "5th = abilities you bring = a currency; 9th = dharmic goodwill = another currency; not bank notes but resources that function as wealth." 3/6/11 lords (Trishadaya): always malefic regardless — "houses of active pursuit; their lords guarantee struggle and challenges; like coaches who force you to work hard." 2/8/12 lords: depends on company (sahachara) and other house owned; 8th lord base = inauspicious ("8th is 12th from 9th = takes away from fortune"); EXCEPTION: Sun and Moon owning 8th = perfectly fine ("their purpose is tapasya; owning the house of hard work aligns with soul + mind's mission"). Stronger yoga overrides weaker ("Baliyogo nirbalasya pravahadakah"). Planets as inner qualities: Sun=soul/Atman; Moon=mind/perception window; Mars=initiative/energy; Mercury=learning/adaptation; Jupiter=conscience/Viveka/discrimination; Venus=spirit of happiness (keeps inner demons contented); Saturn=discipline/perseverance; Rahu=boundary-breaker (experiencing God, not just theorizing); Ketu=detachment/moksha. Venus insight: "Vishnu says in Bhagavad Gita 'Among rishis I am Shukra.' Not Jupiter. Venus is the greatest tapasvi — teaching demons is harder than teaching gods."

Rahu/Ketu Functional Nature: Judge by House Occupied+Planets With Them (NOT Houses They Own); Kronka/Somya=HOW Result Delivered (Not Whether Good/Bad); 3 Separate Systems: Natural Nature vs Kronka/Somya vs Functional Benefic/Malefic; Divisional Vimshottari=Start from Divisional Moon; Tajika Vimshottari=Use Tajika Moon; Divisional Charts Are PRIMARY (Not Secondary Confirmation)

Rahu-Ketu functional nature rule: "See the houses they OCCUPY and the planets they are WITH; the houses they own are not important — they are like outcasts who don't identify with possessions; whatever house/sign they are in, they serve that house." NOT: which houses Rahu/Ketu own. YES: which house are they in? + which planets are near them? Kronka vs Somya vs Functional: three completely separate classifications. (1) Kronka (fierce) = Sun/Mars/Saturn/waning Moon; Somya (gentle) = Jupiter/Venus/Mercury/waxing Moon — this is natural nature/delivery style only. (2) Functional benefic/malefic = based on houses owned from lagna. These are completely independent: "A gentle planet can smile and remove your oxygen mask: 'Sorry, time is up.' A fierce planet can shout at you and give you a million dollars." Kronka/Somya only affects HOW a result is delivered, not WHETHER it helps or harms. Divisional Vimshottari: "When I want to see career, I look at the Moon in the Dasamsa and start Vimshottari from there; when judging Rasi, use Rasi Moon; whichever chart I am judging, find the divisional Vimshottari in that chart." Tajika annual chart Vimshottari: "Do NOT use natal Moon nakshatra progression; treat the Tajika chart as standalone; use the Moon position in THAT chart; I found it better to just treat this as a chart, forget about all progression." Remedies from divisional chart: "Use divisional chart's Vimshottari Dasha — talk about a particular area of life, go based on that chart." Divisional charts are primary: "Most people use divisional charts as lip service — 'Rasi is 90%, divisional is confirmation.' But if divisional can't override Rasi, why have it? Twins have same Rasi but very different lives — divisional MUST be crucial. Once you find the right divisional, treat it as your main chart; do all the analysis you would do with a Rasi chart." 3rd lord in 6th / 6th lord in 3rd = good: "Upachaya lords in each other's houses = initiative + fighting = positive Upachaya placement; Parashara confirmed this."

Lesson 200 Reset: PVNR Returns to Drik Siddhanta(Surya Siddhanta Abandoned=No Objective Correlations for Arudhas); SC Dasha "Going Easy On"(Too Subjective); JHora: Recommended by Author Setting+360° Vimshottari Year+Physical Longitudes for Arudhas+Ascendant=Middle of 1H(±15°). Gandanta=Only Water→Fire Junctions. Prushthodeya Signs=Results at End of Dasha. Vishaptati Sama Dasha for D10

PVNR announces methodological reset at lesson 200 after ~1 year experimenting with Surya Siddhanta: "I could not find objective correlations to validate Surya Siddhanta for Arudha Padas, Chara Karakas, and related techniques; with Drik Siddhanta + Bhava Arudhas + physical longitudes, I found objective correlations over hundreds of examples — transit planets stationary at Arudha Padas, Vimshottari progression to natal divisional chart planets; those are objective." JHora settings to restore: (1) Preferences → Calculation Options → select "Recommended by Author (Drik Siddhanta)" = Drik + Jagannatha Ayanamsa. (2) Dasha window → right-click → "Definition of year" → "Solar longitude 360°" → apply to All dashas. (3) Arudha Pada Options: check "Use exceptions in bhava arudhapada", "Use exceptions in graha arudhapada", "Use Rahu/Ketu when stronger", "Find arudhapada using exact longitudes"; UNCHECK "Use divisional longitudes of planets." (4) House system: "Ascendant is the MIDDLE of 1st house" = ±15° from Lagna = 1st house. SC Dasha: "Going easy on it — too subjective, too many degrees of freedom; conditional nakshatra dashas in divisional charts also dropped (divisional lagna too time-sensitive, too many justifications possible)." What is retained: Vimshottari D1 + Vimshottari of divisional charts + Arudha Padas (physical longitudes) + Rashi Drishti + Graha Drishti + Argala + 15° bhava system + conditional dashas in D1 only. Gandanta definition: "ONLY end of water signs / beginning of fire signs (Cancer→Leo, Scorpio→Sagittarius, Pisces→Aries); not all sign borders." Prushthodeya/Shirshodaya/Ubhayodaya: Shirshodaya signs (Gemini/Leo/Virgo/Libra/Scorpio/Aquarius) = results in first half/1st third of dasha; Prushthodeya (Aries/Taurus/Cancer/Sag/Cap) = results at end of dasha; Ubhayodaya (Pisces) = middle. Vishaptati Sama Dasha: applicable in D10 when 7th lord is in Lagna OR lagna lord is in 7th; use instead of Vimshottari for D10. Varsha Adhipati: PVNR uses Hora Lord at year beginning (not Vara lord) = location-specific.
