Dusthana Yogas — Harsha, Sarala & Vimala

What happens when the lords of dusthana houses (6L, 8L, 12L) occupy their own houses. Harsha Yoga (6L in 6H): victory over enemies and disease. Sarala Yoga (8L in 8H): protection from catastrophe. Vimala Yoga (12L in 12H): contentment and release from debt.

Key principle

D7 works beautifully. As long as you have the right lagna, things just work beautifully. But D3 is something I am suspicious about — you sometimes have to explain things away and satisfy yourself even though it does not make perfect sense.

Harsha, Sarala, Vimala Yogas (Dusthana Lords in Own Houses)

These are three special Viparita (reversed) Raja Yogas formed when dusthana lords are in their own signs:

YogaConditionMeaning
Harsha6th lord in 6th housePerson is cheerful, always happy, very peaceful, at peace with themselves
Sarala8th lord in 8th housePerson is straightforward, very honest; no hidden agenda; doesn't beat around the bush
Vimala12th lord in 12th housePerson gives things away happily; purity of purpose; contented; does not want much

"Vimala means unfallible/pure. 12th house is the house of giving. If the 12th lord is in 12th house, they can give very happily. That means they don't want anything — they are contented. So 12th lord in 12th house is a combination for contentment and purity of purpose."

PVNR's yogas in D-7:

  • Sarala Yoga: Mars (8L from Gemini: 8H = Capricorn; lord = Mars) is in Capricorn (own sign, 8H) → PVNR is very straightforward, very honest. Does not play games.
  • Vimala Yoga: Venus (12L from Gemini: 12H = Taurus; lord = Venus) in Taurus (own sign, 12H) → Very contented regarding children; gives happily.

"I have Sarala yoga. I am very straightforward. I don't like beating around the bush or playing games or saying something when you are here and something different when you are not. That is the Sarala yoga quality."
