A private person's chart. The name and the birthplace have been removed; the date and time of birth are kept as recorded, so the chart is exactly the one that was read.

On this chart's lagna. This lesson gives the date and place only. The time is the recorded one the source uses for the same chart in another lesson.

What is known of the life

Chart pointers›
  • Time: original 6:31 PM IST, rectified ~7:05–7:08 PM IST (tested 7:15 PM; final ~7:05:15–7:08 PM in the multi-varga lesson). One lesson keeps 6:31 PM as the working rectified time; the deep multi-divisional lesson rectifies forward to ~7:05 PM. Transcripts variously label the place "the birthplace" / "the birthplace" / "the birthplace."
  • Chart pointers (PVNR):
  • Rāśi lagna = Aries (Mesha), ~16° (odd sign, past the 15° boundary → Moon's Hora). Born after sunset (nighttime), on Amavasya (Krishna Paksha). Pitta build confirms Aries.
  • Window after constraints: ~38 sec backward, ~9 min forward; the chosen time yields the one Navamsa lagna that explains the marriage most naturally. (One lesson settles D9 lagna as Virgo; the multi-varga lesson uses Gemini D9 lagna — D9 lagna near a sign boundary allowed fine rectification.) D4 lagna Capricorn; D10 lagna Sagittarius; D12 lagna Taurus; D24 lagna Taurus/Virgo (varies by reading). D10: Mercury (10th lord, also 7th lord) in lagna → Viṣaptati Sama Daśā applies.
  • Conditional dasha: Shodasottari Dasha (116-year cycle) applies — Moon's Hora + Krishna Paksha — and outranks Shatrimshasamadasha (rarest dasha highest, longest cycle second).
  • Key Rasi placements: Moon in 6H, Rahu in 7H, Jupiter in Leo (5H), Sun = 5L in Scorpio, Venus in 8H aspecting lagna, Saturn + Rahu in 12H (Badhaka tensions). D1 lagna heavily afflicted (Moon+Mars+Rāhu = "broken house"). Atmakaraka = Moon.
At a glance (astrologer's read)›
  • Career: civil → environmental engineer → software application developer + manager. Service-vs-business genuinely balanced; oriented to service (job).
  • Marriage: traditional marriage, Aug 31, 1997; a vehicular accident nearly delayed the marriage party.
  • Foreign: came to the US Feb 4, 1998.
  • Family: mother died Nov 2008; father died Oct 2011.
  • Children: very fortunate; predicted 1st boy (~80–85%), 2nd boy (100%), 3rd a daughter (confirmed, Gemini lagna).
  • Education: bachelor's 1990 (civil engineering), master's 1994 (same field), management diploma 1996; later intense astrology learning.
  • Health: Pitta constitution; low blood pressure (confirmed); moderate health under Jupiter, more concern under Saturn.
  • Wealth: tight/anxious finances in Jupiter Dasha; stable, relaxed finances in Saturn Dasha.
  • Spirituality: deeply blessed (AK Moon in D-20 lagna); Maha Raj Yoga in Vimsamsa; Karma Yoga path; will become important in a spiritual organization; mystical experience likely ~2016.
  • Character: Pitta constitution (bald, fiery, quick to frustration).
Life events & timing (as PVNR analysed)›
  • 1990 / 1994 / 1996 · education milestones · Venus-Mercury, Saturn-Sun (D24). Civil engineering bachelor's, master's same field, management diploma.
  • Aug 31, 1997 · marriage · traditional, with elders' blessings · Jupiter Dasha, Ketu Antardasha (one lesson); also analysed as Jupiter-Venus (D9): Jupiter = 7th lord in 5th (Pūrva Puṇya); Venus = debilitated 6th lord (obstacles dissolve) + 9th lord from Jupiter. (Navamsa Virgo: Jupiter = 4L & 7L in 5H, parivartana with Saturn = effectively 7H, also Darakaraka; Ketu = 9L in 9H = dharma/traditional; Bhoga of Ketu antardasha lands on Virgo = lagna = a new beginning.)
  • At the marriage · vehicular accident · the marriage party nearly could not arrive in time · same Jupiter–Ketu period. (Jupiter in 6H in Rasi = accidents/illness; Jupiter in 8H in Navamsa = dharmic obstacle/anxiety in the marriage process.)
  • Feb 4, 1998 · came to US · Jupiter-Venus (D4) · Jupiter = 12th lord with Rāhu in 9th = "slam dunk for foreign residency"; Venus = 9th lord from Jupiter (Pāk Lagna).
  • 2004 · intense astrology learning · Jupiter Dasha, Rahu Antardasha. Bhoga formula in Siddhamsa/D-24: Jupiter→Rahu = 11th; 11 from Rahu = Aries; from D-24 lagna, Aries = 8H = occult/hidden knowledge → astrology.
  • After 2004 · astrology study deepens · Saturn Dasha + Moon Antardasha noted as the period bearing on astrology study.
  • Career change civil → software · was a smooth, protected civil-engineering career with a good boss, yet felt strong inexplicable unhappiness and pull toward software (Badhaka logic — for dual-sign carry the Badhaka = 7H, Badhaka lord Jupiter → inexplicable tension/desire).
  • Sep 2005 · career gain · Mars-Rāhu → Mars-Sun (D10 Viṣaptati) · Mars = 5th lord in 5th; Mars in Aries (Pṛṣṭhodaya) gave results late in the daśā.
  • Nov 2008 · mother's death · Saturn-Mercury (D12) · from Leo (4th in D12 = mother): Rāhu = 7th lord in 2nd (Maraka over Maraka); Jupiter = 8th lord in lagna.
  • Oct 2011 · father's death · Saturn-Ketu/Venus border (D12 TP) · using Sun as reference (lagna broken): from Capricorn (9th from Sun = father), Rāhu = 2nd lord + Moon = 7th lord together in 3rd = Maraka combination.
  • June 2012 onward · career recognition · Mercury-Rāhu (D10).
  • ~Sep 2014 · slowdown/partial retirement possible · Mercury-Moon (Moon = 8th lord, eclipsed by Ketu).
  • ~2016 · mystical experience likely · Mars-Moon (D20).
  • ~2016 onward · Saturn Dasha rise · predicted great rise in career and status; "will become some big shot" — slow to start (Saturn is slow) but within the dasha he rises to great heights.
Life by area›

Career (D-10)

  • D10 lagna Sagittarius (not Capricorn) because the career is software/management, not hardware/civil; Mercury (10th lord) in lagna = strong identification with an analytical career. Viṣaptati Sama Daśā applies (7th lord in lagna); Mars Daśā (5th lord in 5th) gave recognition; current Mercury Daśā = career peak.
  • Lordship = agenda; house occupied = resources. Rahu = 6L (agenda: work hard, overcome obstacles) placed in 7H (access to desire/business energy) = strong desire for change (civil → software, becoming chief architect) but not true entrepreneurship (natural entrepreneurs have 3L/11L/7L in 7H). Jupiter in 9H of D-10 = smooth, always-protected career (even from layoffs).
  • Image (Arudha Lagna): in Jupiter Dasha, Jupiter in 6H from AL → looks like a material "loser," laid-back (though internally protected). In Saturn Dasha, Saturn in 9H from AL → status rises.
  • Dikpala amsha: Jupiter in Ananta amsha = karma toward spirituality. Saturn in Indra amsha = material power/authority/rise. With Saturn 9H-from-AL, Vipreeta Raj Yoga (6L in 12H), and Badhaka-in-12H tensions ending → great career rise in Saturn Dasha (~2016).

Marriage (D-9)

  • Jupiter (7th lord in 5th = Pūrva Puṇya) with Ketu/Venus antardaśā delivered the marriage; a traditional marriage with elders' blessings (both traditional planets), not a love-elopement. The 8H placement in Navamsa shows anxiety in the process (the accident); Jupiter's lagna-lord agenda is a fresh start. 6H-in-Rasi = physical problem (accident/illness); 8H-in-Navamsa = dharmic obstacle/tension in fulfilling the dharma of marriage.

Foreign (D-4)

  • Jupiter = 12th lord with Rāhu in 9H = foreign residency; Pāk Lagna technique (antardaśā lord as 9th lord from the daśā lord) confirms Venus. US arrival Feb 4, 1998.

Children (D-7)

  • Overall fortune (male native): 5L of Rasi = Sun, in Scorpio (friendly trine) in D-7 = excellent; 5L within D-7 = Mars (exalted) and Ketu = excellent. Very fortunate, no major problem.
  • 1st child = Pisces (counting backward from even-sign Cancer D-7 lagna). Lord Jupiter (own sign) + Saturn present → boy, ~80–85%.
  • 2nd child = Capricorn (3 backward from Pisces); sign + lord + associated planet all point male → boy, 100%.
  • 3rd child = after jumping over Rahu (which usually ends the count), one more comes because Sun (5L) is in a strong trine in D-7 + Jupiter's graha drishti. Lands on Scorpio; Ketu (with Venus) wins over Mars → daughter, 100%. Confirmed: third child is a daughter, born with Gemini lagna (strong Venus expected).
  • Rule: sex by sign first, then planets physically with the lord, Jupiter as final tiebreaker; do not use Rasi drishti.

Education (D-24 / Siddhamsa)

  • House levels: 4H = basic/school, 9H = bachelor's, 2H = master's. Field planets: civil = Saturn + Ketu (Venus secondary); mechanical/electrical = Mars; software = Mercury (primary) + Ketu.
  • Saturn in 9H with Ketu's argala → civil engineering bachelor's; Saturn aspecting 2H + a 9H–2H link → master's in the same field. The civil subject came in Jupiter–Saturn antardasha (Saturn = the civil-engineering planet). Sun+Venus aspecting the 2nd = the management diploma. Astrology learning (Jupiter–Rahu, 2004): Bhoga lands in 8H of D-24 (occult).

Family (D-12)

  • Mother from the 4th of D12 (Leo); father from the 9th from Sun (since the D1/D12 lagna is a broken house). Both deaths fall on standard Maraka combinations (2nd lord in 3rd, 7th lord in 8th, etc.).

Health (D-6 / constitution)

  • Constitution: Pitta (Aries lagna; round face; Mars + Sun influence; thin hair/not much hair, athletic build; quick to frustration). Prakriti = Pitta; diseases come from Vikriti (temporary dasha-driven change), not Prakriti.
  • Venus in 8H aspecting lagna = a Dusthana–lagna link → possible Kapha/reproductive problems.
  • Blood pressure: Saturn (Vata, 8L) afflicting Moon → low BP (confirmed).
  • Jupiter Dasha (D-6): Jupiter = 6L + 9L (gives + protects); Rahu/Ketu in 6H of D-6 want disease — net some problems, not severe.
  • Saturn Dasha (D-6): Saturn = 8L in 9H afflicting lagna lord Moon (blood tissue) → blood-related problems; low BP likely worsens; possible depression/detachment (no suicidal indication — Saturn+Moon not in D-30). Advice: watch BP, avoid Vata-aggravating foods.
  • Diet (Pitta): avoid chili/pepper/pickles; favor cumin, fennel, coriander, cardamom, mint; buttermilk after every meal ("amrita for Pitta"); fewer big meals; herbs shatavari + bhringraj.

Finance (D-2 / Hora)

  • Jupiter Dasha: Jupiter (9L and 12L) in MKS (3H) in D-2 → 9L in MKS = financial protection withdrawn → tight, anxious, managing but not comfortable.
  • Saturn Dasha: Saturn (10L and 11L) in 12H of D-2 and Badhaka in 12H → financial stability, relaxed spending, earns and spends without anxiety. Venus = 2L in lagna of D-2 → good wealth in Venus dasha.

Spirituality (D-20 / Vimsamsa)

  • Atmakaraka = Moon, in the lagna (Pisces) of D-20 → spiritual growth comes naturally/effortlessly.
  • Maha Raj Yoga: lagna lord (Jupiter, aspecting lagna) + AK (Moon) + 5L of devotion (Moon) in Raj Yoga on the lagna axis → a genuine spiritual person; will become important in a spiritual organization.
  • Deities: 5H in D-20 = personal deity → Moon/Pisces = Krishna (Pisces can also show Jagannath). 2H in D-20 = Kula Devata → Aries with Mars + Venus = Veerabhadra (son of Shiva), confirmed.
  • Saturn in 12H of D-20 in Aquarius (own sign, Moolatrikona) = Vimala Yoga (Vipreeta Raj Yoga); deep spiritual/tapasya experiences in Saturn Dasha; both Badhaka planets (Rahu + Saturn) in 12H in Rasi → all inexplicable tensions end during Saturn Dasha.
  • Spirituality path (D-20 / multi-varga lesson): Mars = 8th lord in the 8th of D-20 = very strong 8th house (Kuṇḍalinī, transformation, "death while alive"); Saturn (6th lord) in Mūlatrikoṇa → path is Karma Yoga (service/hard work), not jñāna or bhakti; Mars-Moon (~2016) → strong mystical experience.

Siblings (D-3 / Drekkana)

  • D-3 lagna = Leo (odd → count forward). 3rd from Leo = Libra → lord Venus in Scorpio → Scorpio as the immediate sibling's lagna. Use D-3 for events in a sibling's life (reliable); sex of sibling only secondarily.
  • Deceased sister (Scorpio as her D-3 lagna): Mercury = 8L (longevity) in the 7th from Scorpio = Mercury in its MKS; plus 3 planets in MKS total → Alpayu (short life, very likely under 36 years; short life certain).
  • Sibling's spouse via Upapada: second younger sister's lagna = Virgo; UL from Virgo = Sagittarius; 10H from UL = Virgo, lord Mercury in 6H (Taurus) → spouse a software/logical/mathematical engineer (confirmed: her ex-husband was a software engineer).
PVNR's reading notes›
  • Methodological reset to Drik Siddhānta (Jagannātha ayanāṁśa), 360°-year for all daśās, Arudhas from physical longitudes, ascendant = middle of the 1st house (±15°). SC Daśā and conditional nakṣatra daśās in divisional charts dropped as too subjective.
  • Vimshottari is "important in Kali Yuga" but not universal; when a conditional dasha's condition is met it can replace Vimshottari entirely. Priority: rarest first, longest cycle second, common (~50%) lowest. Shodasottari (116-yr) applies here and outranks the common Shatrimshasamadasha.
  • Rectification = cross-verify multiple vargas against known events; the marriage (Aug 31, 1997, Jupiter–Ketu) selects the Navamsa lagna; the accident-at-marriage detail confirms it (6H Rasi physical + 8H Navamsa dharmic).
  • Lordship = agenda, occupied house = resources: 6L Rahu in 7H = desire to change, not entrepreneurship.
  • Rāhu/Ketu act by the house they occupy and their company, not their lordship.
  • Pṛṣṭhodaya signs (Aries, Taurus, Cancer, Sagittarius, Capricorn) give daśā results late; Śīrṣodaya early; Pisces (Ubhayodaya) in the middle.
  • When the lagna is a "broken house" (Moon+Mars+Rāhu), use Sun as primary reference for D12 parent analysis (4th from Sun = mother, 9th = father).
  • Viṣaptati Sama Daśā applies in D10 when the 7th lord is in the lagna or the lagna lord in the 7th.
  • Bhoga formula (D-lord → A-lord count, then same count from A-lord = Bhoga house) used to locate the theme of an antardasha in the relevant varga (8H D-24 = occult → astrology).
  • MKS = the planet is so uncomfortable it abandons its house lordships, destroying those houses (8L in MKS = longevity destroyed → alpayu).
  • Sex of child (D-7): sign → planets with the lord → Jupiter as final tiebreaker; exalted leans male, debilitated leans female; never use Rasi drishti.
  • AK in any amsha lagna = God comes in that domain (D-20 spirituality, D-24 learning, D-9 dharma/kingship).
  • Appearance/constitution from lagna (Pitta/Kapha/Vata); Prakriti vs Vikriti — diseases arise from Vikriti; any planet linking a Dusthana to the lagna brings disease.
