Career prediction from your kundli — specific and personalised

A genuine career prediction by date of birth in Vedic astrology is not a sun-sign forecast. It reads your 10th house (the house of karma and profession), the Dasamsa (D10) — the divisional chart dedicated to career — your Ātmakāraka (the soul's primary indicator), and the current Vimshottari daśā. These four together tell you which domain of work suits you, when job offers and promotions are likely, and what obstacles are in the way.

Enter your birth details once on the home page. The 46 career questions above are then answered from your own chart — not from your sun sign, not from a generic table.

The four pillars of career astrology

10th House

The house of karma, profession and public achievement. Its sign and lord determine the nature of work and the path to recognition.

D10

Dasamsa (D10)

The divisional chart of career and achievement. Planets in the D10 lagna and strong D10 positions refine the natal 10H promise into a specific domain.

AK

Ātmakāraka

The planet with the highest degree in your chart — it represents the soul's primary drive. Its nature strongly colours the career path that will feel fulfilling.

Running Daśā

Job offers, promotions and career breaks happen in daśās of the 10th lord, the Ātmakāraka or powerful planets in the 10th house.

Which planet points to which career?

Each planet carries a natural domain of work. When a planet strongly influences your 10th house or its lord, it colours the career direction. The Dasamsa (D10) refines it further.

Career astrology — common questions

Which house in astrology determines career?+

The 10th house is the primary house of career, profession and public status. The 6th house covers service-oriented work and employment (working for others). The 7th house covers partnerships and business. The 2nd and 11th houses show income and gains respectively. For a complete career picture, all four — 10H, 6H, 7H and the relevant divisional chart (D10 Dasamsa) — are read together.

What is the Dasamsa (D10) and why does it matter for career?+

The Dasamsa is the tenth divisional chart in Vedic astrology, dedicated to career and professional achievement. It divides each sign into ten equal parts. A planet strong in the Dasamsa gives professional results regardless of the natal chart position, while a planet weak in D10 may not deliver even if placed well in D1. For career timing and type, the D10 is checked alongside the natal 10th house.

Which planet is the strongest indicator of career success?+

There is no single planet. The 10th lord's strength, the planet with the most powerful placement in the 10th house, and the Ātmakāraka (planet at highest degree) all matter. Sun gives government and authority; Mercury gives communication and trade; Jupiter gives advisory and teaching roles; Saturn gives service and discipline; Rāhu gives technology and foreign-company careers. The running daśā lord converts natal promise into actual events.

How does astrology predict government job?+

Government job potential is shown by: a strong Sun (authority, government); Saturn well-placed (service, stability); the 10th lord in a government-natured sign (Leo, Aries, Scorpio for power); and a daśā of the Sun, Saturn or the 10th lord running at the time of the exam. The Dasamsa is checked for government-flavoured planets in the D10 lagna or D10 10th house.

When will I get a job according to my kundli?+

Job offers arrive in daśās or antardaśās of the 10th lord, the 6th lord (employment), Venus (money through work) or the Ātmakāraka — when these periods also coincide with Jupiter or Saturn transiting favourable houses from the natal Moon. The tool above checks your current daśā against your chart and gives you the likely window.

Can I have multiple careers according to my chart?+

Yes. Multiple career changes are common when Mercury (adaptability), Rāhu (unconventional paths) or Gemini/Sagittarius features prominently in the 10th house or with the 10th lord. A 10th lord in a dual sign often indicates more than one profession. Each major daśā shift can redirect the career domain.
