By Sign
- Odd signs → male child (normal rule)
- Even signs → female child (normal rule)
Exceptions (reversed):

For Varun Gandhi: Pisces = exception = male (despite even). Jupiter + Rahu = male. Venus exalted = male. Net: 3 male indicators vs 1 female → clearly male child. ✓
