- Houses of loss of longevity (Maraka houses): 2nd and 7th (the 12th from 3H and 8H respectively)
- Strong Maraka combination: Lord of a Maraka house (2H or 7H) placed in the other longevity house (3H or 8H), or vice versa
- 7th lord in 8H → that 7th lord is a strong Maraka; death likely in that planet's Mahadasha
